The truth is a lot of people see these signs before marriage, a lot slapped, beaten during rltshp but still decide to bear Mrs. With my ex, the 1st 6mths of the relationship where heaven. Then after I started noticing he started shouting at me, next thing he begin call me mad, stupid, then came pushing, den next slap. Na so I begin fear say if I marry dis guy, I don enter am o. Age wasn't on my side, I was already 30, but I walked out. I knew that na to be sending chronicles go be my story o. But most ladies won't walk, they will now enter and start sending us chronicles. A man that beats you in relationship, do you think in marriage na pet, he go pet you? Abeg women receive sense, lots of you see dese signs but you decide to stay put. I am 31 now and still searching, but not in a million yrs will I marry a woman beater. My ex wld get drunk, get home and start misbehaving, and u know na dat one even worse pass. 1yr in I started seeing dese signs, my dears I gats give myself sense. Let people keep looking down at me becos I'm not married. I don't care if it takes me marrying at 35, it is a must I get it right. There is no room for divorce in my own vocabulary. Pls if your bf beats you in rltshp, you still go ahead and marry him. Madam you are also an abuser, you are an abuser to urself. DeleteMy story is similar to yours, met my husband and got married at 32, now I am having a blast, abuse just doesn't show up in marriage,there are usually tell tale signs from the relationship, it is better to be single o than to be stuck in bondage
DeleteAunty Stella my mum was abused by my dad for 17yrs b4 he died,sometimes he will beat her till she pass out and I will watch helplessly,even d neighbours were tired of settling dem,its got to a stage I told my mum to leave d marriage cos I was tired of seeing her go tru pains cos of us...my dad is late now and we now have peace in our life my mum is now radiant and fat,she no longer fear again.I thank GOD she didn't end up like TITI AROWOLO...I will never stay in an abusive marriage(GOD forbid)
