Sunday Oliseh Explains His Side Of The Story In The Enyeama VS Oliseh Brouhaha

Well there are three sides to every story....We have heard Enyeama's part,Mr Coach Oliseh in this video explains his part and the part which remains is the truth!......His side, his side and the truth!

Oliseh your soft voice no catch me oh,i jump am pass!..lol

Following the recent face-off between Vincent Enyeama and coach Sunday Oliseh, the latter has finally given accounts of his side of the story.
Oliseh says Vincent Enyeama’s retirement from the national team is very sad, as
he opened up on the crisis rocking the Super Eagles.
Enyeama announced his retirement via Instagram on Thursday after alleging that his mother was insulted and that he was almost thrown out of the national camp by hotel security in Verviers, Belgium.
However, coach Oliseh says he was surprised by the goalkeeper’s allegations on social media.
In an interview on Brila FM, Oliseh stated that the goalkeeper had insisted on airing his views during dinner after Tuesday’s training, despite the coach’s instruction to stand down and allow his observations be discussed at another time.

The goalkeeper was unhappy with the fact that he was overlooked as captain of the side in favour of Ahmed Musa during a routine meet and greet with the Nigerian ambassador to Belgium after their work out.

The coach said he told Enyeama to either remain quiet or excuse himself from dinner to enable him address the other players. Oliseh stated that a few of the senior players attempted to calm the goalkeeper before leading him away from the room.

Oliseh said he didn’t call security to take him out and was surprised to find out that Enyeama claimed on Instagram that he was thrown out by security and that his mother had been insulted.
“How can I insult your mother? Never did the issue of Vincent Enyeama’s mother come up,” said Oliseh.

Oliseh added that Musa and John Obi Mikel came to his room to apologize on behalf of the goalkeeper.
The coach said that Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick, also mediated in the crisis and asked Enyeama to apologise to the coach, but he didn’t.
According to Oliseh, Enyeama decided to leave camp on Thursday following the invitation of young goalkeeper Dele Alampasu as back up for the two goalkeepers in case of any injuries.

“He said because I invited Alampasu, he’s going,” Oliseh said.

    7. Hmmmm

Oliseh's account isn't as indepth as it should be! Meaning he isn't saying everything

All thesame, he is their coach and had the vetoe power to refuse anyone from speaking!

The truth is, there is a DEEP rooted beef between Oliseh and Vincent. Oliseh intended to embarrass him before other players. Vincent on the other hand should have used wisdom to make light of it and make him the fool, rather he let his anger step in and give the final satisfaction they wanted by *quitting*

I wish him well! At thesame time, Nigerians should drop sentiments and let Oliseh BE. He didn't go against any law with what he did in his capacity as the leader (or else he truly used security)

    8. Why haven't any of his fellow players come out to tell us what really happened? Why are they all quiet?
Enyeama probably thought they will resign after him. Instead they went back to their coach and showed respect making enyeama look like a fool! I sense conspiracy! I sense set up! But in the end, if Enyeama threaded carefully, he wuld not have ended up like this!
The devil will just be laughing!

    9. OK since we won't hear word about this fracas ehn, I watched this so that I can at least air my views too.

Well o, Oliseh doesn't sound like he told the entire truth. And besides, are they kindergarten kids that they aren't allowed to speak at meetings? Full grown adults o. I would have been furious too if my coach embarrassed me like that in public. And not forgetting that Victor was still sensitive at heart because of his mother's passing. Of course emotions are bound to kick in and take over his reasoning at the time.

I think that when he was insistent on speaking, Oliseh should have allowed him a few words, out of honour, at least.

Was Victor right to drop off the team afterwards? Well, considering one who according to Oliseh has been nursing his retirement, coupled with the stress of losing his mother, and then the embarrassing session that ensued, yea, there couldn't have been a better time to want out. His ego was bruised and he needed to resign to redeem his ego. That's all.

      OK bye

  7. Enyeama spoke on radio & his major bone of contention seems to be the captaincy.
He couldn't bring himself to submit to another's leadership.

Mascherano gave his arm band to Messi, while a more respected Thiago Silva also lost his to poster boy Neymar, both still continue to serve their countries till date & are still influential figures in the dressing rooms of their teams.
Ballack lost his to Lahm & in a few years time, Lahm led the Germans to world cup glory! The ministry must surely move to its permanent site...with or without Vincent Enyeama!!!

  9. He should have spoken with Enyeama b4 stripping him of d captain armband..that's disrespectful of him. And for the fact that Enyeama only left camp after d invitation of Alampasu proved truly that he told Enyeama he's not needed in d team. He's arrogant and a bad man-manager.

Why must Nigerians refuse to give way for others Bikonu, this is the same problem we are having in politics! No one wants to give way and you all double standard Nigerians are calling out Buhari for his appointments!
Why won't Oliseh get new goalkeeper for the country? He shuld get as many as he wants, competition is healthy and makes people sit up. He wants to retire and then Nigerians will start running around looking for a replacement then! Please shut your stupid mouth and work on your sense of reasoning first!

He can't do such with his french coach, anyway he should move on after all captainship is not his birth right. I guess he wanted publicity before retirement but still Oliseh should have handled the issue better.

    2. Do you need to respond to chocomilo that said enyeama has achieved more than a nations cup winner and olympic gold medallist. Oliseh played for about 6 top clubs in Euroe while enyeama just got a break into a modest european club at the twilight of his career. Truth be told, enyeama cant play in most top leagues especially the premiership and bundesliga as he doesnt command his 18box well. He is good with reflexes no doubt but that is not all to goalkeeping. Check the last world cup rating, even with all his outstanding reflex saves, he wasnt named among the 5 top goalies.

  46. LOOKS LIKE SUNDAY OLISEH IS NOT TELLING US THE WHOLE TRUTH HERE. HOW CAN HE SAY; "I DON'T KNOW ENYEAMA . . . I HAD RETIRED ETC"? FLASH BACK TO 2002 JAPAN WORLD CUP; OLISEH WAS SACKED FROM THE CAMP TOGETHER WITH SHUAIBU AMOBI AFTER THE "REBELLION" IN MALI DURING THE NATIONS CUP EARLIER IN THE YEAR. EVENTUALLY, ENYEAMA WAS IN THAT TEAM TO THE WORLD CUP AND KEPT IN GOAL DURING THE LAST GAME WITH ENGLAND.DID ENYEAMA JUMP INTO THE CAMP AT THE WORLD CUP? WERE THEY (ENYEAMA AND OLISEH) NOT IN THAT CAMP WITH SHOROMU and JJ AS CAPTAIN (that replaced Oliseh) JUST BEFORE THAT WORLD CUP? Could this be "carryover animosity?"

Again, he was silent on "who the first goal keeper is". Is Karl Ikeme a better keeper than Enyeama? Who would like to be replaced as the number one when his form hasn't dipped? Oliseh is yet to tell us the whole story.

So are you saying he was invited to train alongside young guys like Enyeama that Onigbinde drafted into the team in May. Nonetheless that was the biggest mistake made by NFF that is still haunting us till date as we did not do proper transition of players. A Humble person will not walk away from his team mates and country in that Manner. If the coach says sit, I will sit. If the coach says don't talk, I will respectfully be quite. If the coach says leave your talk to tomorrow, I will humbly obey the coach. Life could have been simpler if anger is managed well and people learn to be humble and obedient to authorities.
