Saraki's Trial Adjourned Till November 5-6

The Code of Conduct Tribunal has adjourned proceedings in the trial of Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki till November 5 and 6 as it awaits the ruling of the Court of Appeal, where Saraki had prayed the court to halt the trial.




The Court of Appeal in Abuja had last week reserved ruling in the appeal, saying it would communicate to the parties involved when the judgement would be delivered.


Chairman of the Tribunal, Danladi Umar said the ruling of the appellate court would determine the fate of the CCT trial of the politician who served as Governor of Kwara State from 2003-2011. - Thewill reportage.



Hmmmmm A particular book comes to mind when i study the Saraki travails.

I wonder what the Judgement will be!

      Yea it only makes sense that the CCB adjourns until court of appeal decides na. The power to rule within the CCB is still under scrutiny.. as the panel is incomplete. Three are needed and they have two. And to complete the panel, the Senate, which Saraki presides over, will have to approve the third person. So u see the twist? It'll be an interesting case tho

    Though they needed sometimes to hear the decision of court of appeal. I just wish this is not a style to frustrate justice.

    The court of appeal is yet to rule on the case. The cct have no right to continue with the hearing until then.
