She stated that it is important for women to play a key role in educating a child and that if a woman can get it right the rest of the work is done. Mrs. Buhari also stated expressly that the topic of discussion is what attracted her to the forum considering the security issues Nigeria is currently facing.
She explained that this was the reason she attended with the wife of the Vice President Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo and some Governors’ wives; especially of the states affected by the boko haram insurgence.

Adebola Salako, a New Leader of the Crans Montana forum who is the Founder/Programme Coordinator of Mantle of Mordecai foundation, a non-governmental organization with a vision to significantly reduce the number of out-of-school children in Nigeria also buttressed Mrs.Buhari’s point by stating that education is the key to liberation from terrorism.
Adebola pleaded with Mrs.Buhari to ensure that education of out-of-school children in Nigeria is made top priority during her administration as the wife of the President. Adebola emphasized the need for this by stating that Nigeria is currently contributing the highest quota of 10.5 million to the number of out-of-school children in the world; according to UNICEF data.
