Jose Mourinho has admitted that Chelsea’s difficult start to this season, is “the worst period in my career with the worst results in my career.”
The Premier League defending champions, currently sit in 15th position on the log with two wins from their opening seven games.
Ahead of this weekend’s home match against Southampton, Mourinho said: “It [the situation] is something that is helping me to be better. It is a great negative experience.
“I’ve had big challenges. I am not saying it’s a hard challenge, I’m saying it’s the worst period. I have never lost so many matches.”
The Blues boss, however insisted that he has a team, that can win all their upcoming games in the league and Champions League.
“We are capable as a team to win against anyone – Champions League, Premier League – we are capable of that,” he said.
“We are capable as a team to win against anyone – Champions League, Premier League – we are capable of that,” he said.
“After the match, I never react. I go to the press, they [the players] go to the shower. After the match, I never have a bad reaction. After the match is the time to calm down and go home. The next day I’m calm. So the next day I coach. I coach.
“In here, we speak openly. You can help your mate — I did that mistake, but you could do that a little bit better. We have no prima donnas crying. Everyone wants to do well.”

ReplyDelete15th position is not moimoi.
But I hope they remain there till they crash out.
*Tongue out at chelsea fans*
He's spot on! However, if he can dig dip & play hardball by dropping some of his key lieutenants & use some fringe players like Baba Rahman, Loftus Cheek, Nascimento, Remy, Djilobodji...perhaps it'll spur the bigger boys to step up their game...esp when they see their sports under threat.
ReplyDeleteUnlike Arsenal, he's got more than enof arsenal in his armoury to gun down opponents & turn their season around. Ain't that why he's the 'Special One'???!!!
Forza Milano!!!
