Millenium Housing Estate Akowonjo Under Threat By Omo Onile's

ATTENTION GOVERNOR AMBODE OF LAGOS STATE

THIS WAS SENT IN BY A BLOG VISITOR WHO LIVES IN THE ESTATE.

''Some group of people known as Omo Onile (Land owners) are disturbing us at Millennium Housing Estate, Akowonjo,Egbeda. They came here around 12pm on October 1st 2015 with arms and Ammunitions disturbing the whole neighbourhood.they claim to be the owners of the estate.

This estate was built and owned by the government under the administration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. They came here again today to write on the walls on the fence threatening us to pack out of the estate within 1 month.

They even claimed they have the support of the government to eject us. They claimed Tinubu told them it is no longer his business when he was approached.

Please we are begging the government of Lagos state to interfere before things go out of hand completely. We live in fear. Each flat was bought with millions of naira and they are threatening to destroy everything.

Please Governor Ambode help us!

Innocent and hardworking lives are at risk.

  2. I think Govt should look into this issue cos its getting out of hand. If one wants to build house, you will settle them, fixing of windows, they will come back for another settlement, paining of the building, they will ask for settlement. Na soo they continue until one man chased them out with cutlass and told them if they ever come back again, he will kill them. And the worst part is that they will be telling you that they own lagos and that their is nothing govt can do. Its so annoying and sickening. Very dirty and annoying set of people and the worst part is that they will not even spend the money wisely but most of them will use it to buy Ogogoro and the rest. I pity their wives thou.

  9. The residents need to stage a mass protest at the governor's office, involve all the TV and radio stations and the newspaper houses. They better tackle this head on before they lose their homes to those touts.

    1. Dts bcos ONLY APC has ruled in lagos. And might i say they did a GREAT job. Lagos has bn TRANSFORMED under their leadership. May god bless babatunde raji fashola wherever he is. I drove down obafemi awolowo way ikeja to alausa & agindingbi today & cldnt believe my eyes. Narrow dirty roads now wide like abuja roads wt bus routes seperate & yellow traffic poles, everytin looking janded. And d garden under d bridge. Beautiful. I might just move bk to lagos.

As for d omo oniles, even d military regime couldnt do anythin abt them. Dont think a useless pdp govt will do anything. Those ones dt were paying opc to win lagos election for them.

  14. This is why I detest purchasing Government developed properties in Nigeria. Just negodu, no transfer of policy, each govenor in power acts in his personal capacity insead of acting in his official capacity because if that had been done, the the documents would be at the secretariat

  22. Ambode is too weak a governor to do anything. Thats my fear for these people. If truly Tinubu said that, then there is trouble in paradise. How will he not say such when he has made his money and moved to the next phase of things. All these lazy men called omo nile. Claiming what they dont know. Omo nile that dont even know where the grave sites of their forefathers are be claiming lands.
