Lagos State Roads Littered With Potholes- Must Read!

Lagos state has given potholes a new definition!

To explain the deadly nature of these potholes, PM News went across some parts of Lagos to capture some of the baddest potholes:

-Picture 1- This is Ilasamaja road in Lagos State. Vehicles struggle to use the only good patch on this road but even the supposed good path is not good.

-Picture 2-Welcome to Isolo road in Mushin area of Lagos characterised by rather large potholes

Picture 3-Thanks to this blocked drainage, motorist have a hellish time on this road in Ilasamaja. Residents should also take the blame for this.

Picture 4-The story is no different at Iyana Isolo, also in Lagos State.

Picture 5-Oshodi in Lagos is popular for its commercial activities but potholes like this can mar its potential

Picture 6-Apapa is widely dreaded by residents and travellers mainly because of the traffic. Along Wharf road in Apapa, the road is very bad.

Picture 7-Hassan bus stop, Sadiku is not inviting at all, for very obvious reasons.

Picture 8-Oshodi Isale like Sadiku is an eyesore.

    2. You should actually refer these roads to Buhari since there's no minister in charge yet. Most of them are federal roads. So are you saying all these roads went bad immediately Fashola left?

  2. Same everywhere, Agbado-crossing to Ishaga road in Ifo LGA of Ogun State is worst than all these.
Olunde-Ayegun road in Oluyole LGA in Ibadan, Oyo State is nothing to write about, worst road I've ever seen in my life.
Nigeria, so many things is wrong jare.

  8. Choi! God bless you for this post Stella!
Please don't forget okota, Ago palace way after century, and most of the streets in okota! They have never been tarred and people have been living on those streets for 30years! Residents end up gathering money to patch roads when it gets really bad. And we pay taxes, we pay land use charge! What a shame!

..sooooo in the three or so months that Ambode has been governor is when these potholes materialized? I'm trying to understand your point...do you mean he took a pickaxe and went about destroying the roads or could it be possible the roads were an inheritance? Which he would need to address one by one?? Come on let overt sentiments nor cloud our ability for sound reasoning.

  15. But I really wonder why the Nigerian government doesn't construct with concrete..... It's cheaper with time and more durable. A life span of a road constructed with concrete is between 35-50 years. Well what do I know?
    GOD BLESS NIGERIA.

Anyway, Ambode, here's your challenge, deliver the mandate you promised. Perception is reality, your reputation is fast taking the plunge. Work or hire a bloody PR person to highlight your achievements!

  32. Stella please satellite town! It's like satellite town has been forgotten by Lagos state government. We are human beings and we pay tax too. ALL the roads in satellite town are so horrible. It's a nightmare over there and it's just so unfair. Everyday you're going to Mechanic to fix/change your shocks. Which kain life be that? Let's not even talk about the traffic that these potholes cause that eventually lead to robbery in traffic. Ambode please do something. Leave uncompleted buildings and help Lagosians. Everyone is crying. It's not only to collect tax from us.

  33. Which way NG and for those asking why d want uncompeleted building completed is cos must crimes are committed there. If you had listened to Wazobia FM yesterday evening you would have heard wat pple said about d ones near their houses or environment.

  36. We have entered ONE chance with this Ambode. The traffic in Lagos and Crime right now has no part 2. Sentimentally, we have allowed ourselves into a deep mess and we have to bear it for 4 years. No light, no water, bad roads, no safety and security, people are stressed and falling sick....our lives are ticking away and we continue to say 'he go better'. Pls what do we do?

    ReplyDelete
  37. During Fasjola's reign, it was no fuel but good roads. Ambode's reign, worse roads, with more than enough fuel in the vehicle tank to burn in traffic. He is busy gallavanting at Quilox Bar and counting 100 days in the office. Hope by the next 100 days you will still be in that office.........Eko Ni Baje oooooo!!!!! Ambode is talking.
