Issa Hayatou Named FIFA Acting President

African football leader, Issa Hayatou has been named to take charge of FIFA after former president, Blatter was suspended and “stripped of all duties.”

Issa Hayatou on Thursday took temporary charge of FIFA after Sepp Blatter was “relieved of his duties” because of his 90-day suspension, the world body said.
Hayatou, 69, is president of the Confederation of African Football, and takes over as senior vice president of FIFA. He has in the past been reprimanded for misconduct by the International Olympic Committee.

“Joseph S. Blatter was relieved of all his duties as FIFA president” after the move by the FIFA ethics committee to suspend him for 90 days because he is under criminal investigation by Swiss prosecutors, FIFA said.

  2. The legendary Mr havalenge is now a saint. Even though there will always be opposition and 'bad belle" arising from pure jealousy, he was never accused of impropriety nor was he ever suspended.

  5. Dz man worse pass Sepp Blatter , d longest serving vice president my foot , dz man has held on to power as CAF president 4 more than two decades . He suspends or sacks anybody that challenges him in Africa from football related activities in Africa .
He has hijacked football marketing frm d marketing dept of CAF & gave it to his son's company to do . A man dat is as corrupt as Sepp Blatter , even worst than him . FIFA is not yet ready to fight corruption , maybe Hayatou has used African juju to cover their eyes from investigating him since dz investigation of FIFA top executive started .
