NIGERIAN POLICE WAHALA

Dear Stella,

I don't know where this fits in but i'll just send it in. Its a little long but please just bear with me. On my way to work yesterday, my sister dropped me off at Ajah market. Before then, I was contemplating going all the way to Jakande with her as I had a client I had to show a property there. I changed my mind and decided to get a BRT at Ajah, get to the office first, then come back to jakande.  As I came down from the car, I started walking towards the BRT park. Next thing I know, I see a man running straight towards me with a Mopol Police guy chasing him with a gun. This guy was running like crazy and he was being chased like mad too.

I decided to stop walking (I was already practically at the BRT I was meant to enter) and to observe what was happening. The guy who was running finally stopped and started begging the mopol guy. The mopol police guy tells him to kneel down. The guy just keeps begging (mind you, the guy was very well dressed so he wasn't an agbero). The mopol kept on shouting kneel down or I will shoot you. The guys keeps begging. The police man points his rifle at the guy. I start thinking to myself, should I run past straight to the BRT that was loading or should i remain standing where I was?

 I decided the best action was to run past and get close to the BRT, (people around where just standing watching the scene), as I was just putting my foot forward to walk quickly by (they were just yards away from me) the mopol guy raises the rifle and starts shooting in the air. People start running and bending to take cover. I thank God he decided to shoot while I was just putting my foot forward. What if I had already moved like I had initially planned as I was already very close to him and the guy he was intimidating? Then a stupid policeman would just have killed me for nothing and made my son motherless smh.

Anyways I dived and took cover with the agberos just beside me. By then, the guy who wasn't kneeling when ordered to had knelt down. Next thing, out of nowhere, another mopol guy appeared from nowhere, ran to the guy who was kneeling, and kicked him on the head. I've only seen kicks like that in chinese movies and movies with Jason Statham . The guy slumped and fell. He wasn't moving. Blood was all over his face. Only God knows if the boots the mopol guys wear come equipped with spikes on them. At some point I asked myself is this real? Is this a movie? The guy who kicked him on the head kept on hitting the man who had slumped. Next thing people around me start shouting "ahhh he don kill person! he don kill person and he still they beat am". 

In like 20 seconds, like 60 guys came out from God knows where and surrounded the mopol guys. I started asking myself who sent me to come down at ajah when I could just have gone to jakande straight with my sister.

To cut the long story short, the guy who slumped later regained consciousness and I think the mopol guys then explained that the guy had run someone over with his car or almost run someone over. The story wasn't clear. The mopol guys in their van saw him, they started a car chase. Guy entered traffic, so he came down from his car and started running on foot (sounds like a movie right?).

I'm not sure of the authenticity of the story but the Mopol guys had no excuse for what they did. Why shoot into the air in a crowded place when the person you supposedly want to arrest is standing right in front of you? Why kick the man in the head? Why not just drag him to the police station? What if he had died as a result of that kick? What if a stray bullet killed someone or even me as I was standing so close to them?

This country isn't safe. Policemen here are just thugs with guns waiting for who to kill.

You try sef,i would have just fainted.I have seen a bullet before fly past me with the speed of lightening in slow motion.I entered last chance and someone sitting in front with me shot at the driver and the bullet passed me to get to him.I was in shock for weeks.Thank God you oh!

FREE CAKE TUTORIAL

Hello Madam Stella,

@PastriesAndCakesByKisses is offering a one month free training to cake lovers who are willing to learn the art of cake making in lagos, and who reside particularly in surulere.

I saw a job advert here some weeks ago, I applied and I got the job. I just wanna say thank you Stella for this platform. God bless you always...x

I have been contacted and made to know that a LOT of Bv's have gotten jobs from this platform in the last one month,some are resuming next week,some resumed this week and some resumed last week but none have come back to show appreciation or encourage other to show that jobs are real here.Its discouraging for me and i have told the employers to take back the job from whoever does not write back to say they got it....or maybe i will just stop posting job openings here.
The ones who promised to help out people on this blog didnt get back to me after selling their products and some even come back to sell more,that promise you made the first time is between you and God,if you have not fulfilled it,you are owing God cos that was a seed you sowed and you cannot cheat Baba GOD!

INVEST IN GRADE AAA USED CLOTHING AND MAKE A VERY GOOD PROFIT

Hello Stella,i have news for my fellow sdkers about buying good quality used clothes in bales and resell.its what I do and am making a cool profit from it.That is if it's the grade AAA because there are some that if you buy, you see rags packed inside, this one is different.Though am not the one selling it but I have a supplier I will like to recommend  for BVS that has a small capital looking for  business or wants to venture into buying and selling,even if some bvs has the money but are feeling shy to sell them they can get a very small shop and employ someone that just finished from secondary school to help him/her stay there and help her attend to customers.

 Then you give her like 7k to 10k monthly while you make your own cool cash too.she sells  very good and quality used clothes from UK and US.For instance now, she sells a bale of blazers for 65k and the pieces inside is like 200 or even more atimes. Let's do the calculation, if you sell each for lk that is 200,000, you make 135k as profit, if you sell for 500naira each you still make like 60,000 naira on a bale even if you can't sell everything at least you can still sell 150 pieces and still make your gain.

A WORD OF ADVICE FOR FELLOW BV'S

Stella dear! I enjoy reading your blog! I have learnt a lot from here. my mail is a bit lengthy but please BVS should  try and digest it ,i don't know were this will fit in but I hope you post it so that other people will learn from me. 

I wish to remain anonymous because I know many people on your blog. I am a young girl in my mid 20's I have a good job with a good salary, I am about to do my traditional marriage! 

In my office I have a very good friend who I confide in, she does the same to me, it happened that my manager have interest in me, he so much loves me and wish to have me in his bed some day! He always calls me and tells me he wishes we can see and spend some time together, even though I told him I am getting married soon, I always go to work with my engagement ring , As a matured girl I really know what he wants and I have tried my possible best to avoid him.
Every thing that happens between me and him I will tell this my so called girl friend, to an extent I told her that if my manager continues to disturb me I have to quit my work, the place I submitted my cv even called me for interview. 


Stella dear could you believe my manager called me to his office yesterday to tell me exactly all I tell this my girl friend, I started denying it, my dear do you know what shocked me most, my manager played my voice which was recorded by my girl friend, I was begging the ground to open to jump inside! 

I knelt down and started begging him to forgive me that i am sorry! He told me because he still loves me if not he would have sacked me, that I should be careful the people I call my friends, that my girl friend did this to gain favour from him and that he's disappointed in all I said, hmmmm Stella I cried out my eye balls,even though I have learnt my lesson but I feel so betrayed, secondly this is the second time i am being betrayed by my girl friend,the first one snatched my ex boy friend, I still let them be and then moved on but this one just paralyzed my legs! 

But I have to move on because i am happy, all my prayer requests this year have been answered, i am beautiful, slim, with a good job, being admired by almost everyone in the office, I passed all my qualifying exams and ready to get married to my love, so why won't I give God glory even when they try to bring me down!!!!!
so girl friends mind who you tell your secret to cos someone out there is envying you! Peace out!!!

Recorded your voice keh?you know what?becos that is an office environment,please do not look at a confrontation,just avoid her and if she comes near you and tries to gist,look for excuses to end the conversation or always form like you are busy.your behaviour and silence will eat her up badly,thats the best punishment.
