As the Felabration events rocked on in Nigeria, London joined the fray with a night of music, drums, sultry saxophone and music from the stars.
Held at the British Library, the sold-out Felabration event played to capacity crowd as stars like Shingai from The Noisettes and Dele Sosimi kept the crowd enthralled with classic hits 'Zombie' and 'Lady'.
The amazing Tony Allen performed on the drums, and it is clear to see why he's such a legend; his rousing rhythms served as the heartbeat to song after song.
TuFace Idibia was one of the headline acts of the night, performing 'Water - E No Get Enemy' with Tony Allen and Laura Mvula to an ecstatic crowd and later, 'Olufemi' with Bumi Thomas.
enjoyed the Afrobeat experience.
Other than the performers, there were many notable faces in the crowd who were there to witness this celebration of Abami Eda. Timade Kuti moved along with the beats, and Wale Ojo was in heaven as he
The grand finale was a performance by all the artistes a beautiful rendition of 'Shakara' that both moved and invigorated the crowd.

ReplyDeleteFela has remained an African star the world wants to reckon with. His name has lasted in the mouths of many, more than most of our politicians. Leave a logo behind, they won't hear. All they want is to chop money and start forming 'sickness' and 'unexpected death in hiding'.
He was quite a reckless man, in lifestyle. But he never stole and he always spoke the truth. And many things he was saying decades ago are just coming to pass.
I wish he was still alive..... Honestly.

If this action does not creat the desired effect, you of course would rush to the studio to release an album that would tell and express to the world the tru situation and your pain.to imagine that the affected guy is your right hand man in the family, Beko's son.
