Enyeama Returns To Super Eagles Camp in Belgium

It appears the last has not been heard of the Sunday Oliseh and Vincent Enyeama bust-up, as the Lille goalkeeper is expected to return to the Super Eagles training camp in Belgium on Saturday.
Enyeama is expected to meet with top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The former first-choice goalkeeper and captain announced his retirement from international football, after falling out with Oliseh.

However, NFF president Amaju Pinnick, as well as his two vice-presidents, Seyi Akinwunmi and Shehu Dikko, are eager to salvage the situation and will meet with Enyeama in Belgium.

It remains to be seen if Enyeama, who is currently the player with the highest number of caps for Nigeria (101), will be persuaded to return to the national team under Oliseh.

Who will even pay for all these extra expenses? Nigeria does not have that kind of money to waste on frivolities and someone's wounded pride!
Better don't come back or else your exit will even be worse than this!

  5. The problem I have with this whole thing is...if Enyeama were to return to Belgium from his mothers burial and not the Super Eagles camp would he have returned a day late? And if so would he not have called his coach at least out of courtesy to inform him? I heard some of these players misbehave when they come to play for Nigeria but will not even dream of it in their respective Football clubs....another problem I have with this while story is that Enyeama might have made comments that stirred up feelings of anger or disunity among members if the team and as a coach you just cannot sit and allow these things happen.... Honestly let's look at things from the other perspective my dear people and not be quick to judge....

    1. Sensible comment! Nigerians and Black's as a whole has a serious mentality problem, they will obey to d last core in foreign countries but when they come back to Africa, they will start showcasing "Larger than life attitude". He is the most decorated player in d team and so fricking what? Why not make him the coach instead? That means people line Ronaldo and Messi will kill their Coaches and use their meat for festival. Even when Kanu Nwankwo was benched for long in Arsenal did he even have the guts to open mouth and talk? If it is in Nigeria they will all remember they can talk.
The coach already sensed the tension and that was why he maintained that it is enough for the day! He who leaves fight for a day will live to fight another day, who knows it might have ended in a fight sef! Just shut up and Obey!!!! He is still the coach even if you like use wheel barrow to carry all your awards! Don't be hasty in taking decisions, all the fault cannot be from Oliseh! You even had to lie about your late mother to swindle gullible Nigerians. This is the reason Africans will always be treated the way they are treated in the world today!

    2. God bless u for saying the truth. They will always look like iceblock in their various close, but whenever they invite them to pray here thats when they will start showing themselves.

    3. You spoke my mind. Arrogance and non challant attitude are embedded in our players. Observing things from another perspective will inform us the snippet of what really happened.

    4. Good to know I am not alone in my observation...most people are reacting based on sentiment and not the reality on ground.

  9. Make e no come return come flop oh.

I like enyeama and even tho I know he has a fault in what went on, oliseh's story had too much holes in it. He just painted himself like a saint and enyeama, the trouble maker and devil.

For the sake of our team, I hope they resolve dis issue amicably without either of dem having to leave.

  10. I do not take decisions fast, especially when I am very upset Cos most times, I end up regretting my actions. Enyeama , I beg we need you back in the team.

  16. Oliseh isn't a coach imo. I did like to know what his antecedents are in the area of coaching. I expect him to continue to show his arrogance and I also expect him to ve sacked soon enough.

    ReplyDelete

    1. You are right. Oliseh is the worst thing that has happened to the Super Eagles. When he played he had a yellow card at nearly every match! He was very unruly, arrogant and aggressive! Once I learnt he was appointed coach, I was shocked and knew there will be trouble. I wasn't wrong.

  27. Yea...that's good news.

It was actually a hasty decision on the part of Enyeama.

Both are wrong in their conducts in that meeting which shows they have "beef"

And it is obvious both are deficient in temper management skills.

    My two pens... .

  31. This situation is clearly a case of mismanagement. I'm sure, the situation would have been contained if properly handled. Oliseh needs to get down from his high horse. The way we talk to people matters. Nigeria needs Enyeama, and that's true.

    1. ...and how are you sure Enyeama wasn't the rude one? why was he raising his voice? The coach said it is enough for the day! Then it shuld be enough! Let him drown in his pride.
