A 25-year-old man was on Wednesday found inside the tyre compartment of a Ghana-bound Medview Airlines plane at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
It was gathered that the unidentified man was found by the pilot during his final check on the plane before its departure to Accra, Ghana.
Punch reports that the incident happened at the departure wing of the MMA2 at about 7.30pm.
Report says the stowaway confessed to the act during interrogation by police detectives from the Airport Command of the Nigerian Police Force.
He reportedly told police investigators that he was frustrated and wanted to leave the country for a greener pasture by all means.
Asked how he managed to find his way into the tyre compartment of the aircraft, the stowaway said he jumped the perimeter fence of the airport to gain access into the MMA2 tarmac.
