Some people are rich. And then some people are filthy rich, like Saudi Arabian King Salman.
Reports today reveal that the majesty and his delegation rented out the entire Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown.
According to USA Today:King Salman touched down on U.S. soil Thursday to the sight of dozens of black luxury cars awaiting his arrival at Joint Base Andrews located just outside Washington in Prince George’s County, Md.
Wall Street Journal reporter Carol Lee snapped a photo of his epic entourage. (On a recent trip to France, Salman had a 10-vehicle motorcade, and hired an additional 400 luxury car drivers, the BBC reported.)
Salman is in the US this week to meet with President Obama to discuss all things Iran Nuclear Deal and the wider impact it will have on the Middle East. This meeting was strategically planned to happen before the Senate returns from their summer recess next week.
This is the first time King Salman has made a trip to the U.S. since ascending to the throne in January.
Fox News reported:Politico reports that other guests who had booked during the visit were moved to other hotels, so the delegation could have the 222-room site to themselves.
While unclear where the king himself is staying, the Four Seasons does boast a “Royal Suite,” a 4,000-square-foot pad with a marble bathroom, a furnished terrace, a media room, and his-and-her walk-in closets.
Basic rooms at the Georgetown Four Seasons run well over $500-a-night on a weekend. The starter suites run at about $1,000-a-night and up. The price of the Royal Suite is not listed.
The hotel’s website shows there are no rooms available until Sunday.
Hey, when you’re the royalty of an oil-rich nation, you ball on no budget.
