A man has been arrested for murder after a sick selfie he snapped with the corpse of his dead girlfriend was spread around Chinese social media.
The picture was captioned with the phrase "please forgive my selfish love" and went viral on social media site WeChat.
Police in Wuzhou, a district in southern China, have confirmed the arrest of the suspect, whose last name is Qin.
Qin's girlfriend who is identified only as Lin is alleged to have been killed after a quarrel between the two turned violent.
But what happened next defies belief...
Qin apparently snapped a picture of himself next to Lin's dead face and then posted the picture online alongside a previous picture of the couple enjoying each other's company.
Thousands of users in China picked up on the image and spread it around the internet.
The Police launched a manhunt following the viral spread of the sick picture and arrested Qin nine hours later.
The Authorities have refused to comment on the circumstances of Lin's death, and whether they have yet recovered the body.

ReplyDeleteHe was smiling, he doesn't look sad as someone that lost his love
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's cos he is smiling in d picture! It's odd takin a selfie with a corpse, come smile join haba
ReplyDeleteIt suggests that he is sick to have done such and d girl's death is now questionable. He was smiling when he took the pic. Like he is happy she is dead. Tufia. Selfie with a corpse. Thats sick
ReplyDeleteHe is a prime suspect by his act and words.
ReplyDeleteWhat does he mean by "please forgive my selfish love"?
Why place the 'dead' photo side by side the 'living' photo online?
It's a debatable case though...
some humans are so weird

ReplyDeleteSelfie gone wrong! Sick photo......
ReplyDeleteNo respect for the dead anymore!
ReplyDeleteThe picture says a lot... upon interrogating the man, the truth will be ascertained. Have you ever seen anyone take picture of their loved one's funeral in such manner.
ReplyDeleteSometimes Stella your way of thinking de be like who de Warri, did you read and assimilate what you wrote?
ReplyDeleteIn that last pic, her face looks very stiff which suggests he took the pic after she died hence the conclusion that he killed her.
ReplyDeleteBut how can anyone take a selfie with a corpse?
