History was recently made in Abuja at the coronation night of Beauty Of Africa International Pageant as Rita Onyinye Oguebie, who represented Miss Benue emerged Miss Tourism Nigeria International in a highly contested show.
The very classy event attracted high profile personalities and showbiz lovers. The creative concept of the event was indeed a sight to behold as the audience were held spellbound to the last presentation.
Queen Rita who hails from Anambra State, graduated from Bayero University Kano and will be representing Nigeria at Miss Tourism International 2015 World Finals in Vietnam
The1st Runner up, Adaeze Obasi, Miss Taraba, will be representing Nigeria in Miss Globe 2015 World finals in Canada, the 2nd runner up, Deele Queen Lesi, Miss Rivers, goes to Miss Supranational 2015 World finals in Poland While 3rd Runner up, Evangel James, Miss Bayelsa, to represent Nigeria in Miss Tourism Queen of the year 2015 in Malaysia.
The pageant who boast of several international franchise will send the 4th runner up, Elizabeth Lawrence, Miss Ekiti, who was crowned Miss Ebony Queen Nigeria, to the Look of the year Fashion TV Award 2016 in Italy
The 9th edition of Beauty Of Africa International Pageant was solidly supported and partnered The Ministry, Federal Ministry of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation.
The CEO Mr Daniels expressed satisfaction over the packaging of the event and reiterated his commitment to ensure the winners are well promoted nationally and internationally as 2016 edition will mark the 10th year Baip anniversary.

DeleteHighly contested show where? Make up has suffered, everyone is a beauty queen now. Stella enough with the beauty queen posts, they all look the same, too yellow with lots of make up on.
ReplyDeleteNot really madam. To you they might be pointless. To many of these ladies, it is an avenue for exposure. Many will use this platform to marry well, since a lot of suitors attend these events. Many who lacked endless ambition will be exposed to other career avenues different from what they intended, or never dreamt of. It all depends on the individual contestant. I felt biased in the past but when my 45 year old sister enlightened me a Lil, I changed my OPINYON and so should you. You should either enter one of these contests or encourage your sibling, relative or child to do so. Hope I have managed to change your OPINYON today. But I'll leave it up to you and your own Opinion which is what counts.

ReplyDeleteYea I'm glad this is up here. This pageant has many franchise true BT hey!! D girls pay for the franchise dia visas flights n general preparation for d international pageants. Mr. Daniel doesn't give dem a dime. In fact he gave d contestants tickets to sell dose who sold highest got d crowns. D overall winner Rita bought 3table 4 10 at 200k each!!! Ders nothing to this pageant. If u have money to pay thru buying tables n sponsoring urself for international. Pageant den d crown s urs.

I wish I could bring some of these crowns to sell in Nigeria, since many of these (anon 12.30 12.32 disclosure) contests are all about the physical crown. Lawdhamasi!!!
