Ministerial list: Falana, Oyinlola, Odimegwu Others Undergo DSS Screening

There are strong indications that the Department of State Service, (DSS) has completed a screening process for some of the ministerial nominees to make up the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Among the list of those who were said to have been screened by the DSS are, former presidential candidate, Prof. Pat Utomi, Femi Falana (SAN), a former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, a former finance commissioner in Lagos State, Mr. Wale Edun and Former Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries Limited, Mr. Festus Odimegwu.

Others in the list are, Abubakar Malami (SAN), former Chief of Army, Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazu (retd.); an former chief executive of the Federal Inland Revenue, Mrs. Ifueko Omoigui-Okaru;.
Vanguard gathered from a source very close to the presidency who pleaded anonymity that the aforementioned nominees had appeared before the DSS for their screening at the weekend.

However, the nominees are yet to give any confirmation on the supposed screening which may not be far-fetched from the fact that appointments of this nature are treated cautiously in the official circle.
It was gathered that no fewer than 20 nominees had been so far screened by the DSS operatives since the exercise started.

Recall that the President had indicated in a chat with journalists in Accra, Ghana, on Monday that he would keep his promise of announcing names of his ministers this month.

Our source revealed that the screening process by the DSS involved conducting background checks on the careers of the nominees and operatives were also checking for records of the nominees with anti-graft and security agencies.

Heard Fashola and Amaechi couldn't scale thru cos of corruption petition against them by EFCC /ICPC.hmmm
But then if they will continue being that strict, even pple that will make it (sure they will be less than 10),an aggrieved someone will bring up a petition against them from nowhere to discredit them even if it's a pen they tapped' maybe in secondary school days.lol!just so they can all sink together...
For me Baba should just be flexible, put technocrats that can do d work, and have at least being averagely fair to the pple in their last appointments.at the end of the day,for all of them, none is without sin!
....warning :'wailing wailers don't come under this comment to say shit,i have not repented!its still Sai Baba!

    3. Hypocritical APC queen bitch. So a man like Dambazzau that brought in a dead president in the middle of night and shut down the airport and abuja road is corruption free? Your lousy lot only equate corruption with money alone. The worst corruption is that of POWER.Thank God for late Dora that spoke against that evil cabal.

    4. Sup bae... my dear I just dey settle back after the long holiday jare. How now? I see you've been holding the fore.. ehehe

Yes I agree he should nominate technocrats, I mentioned this earlier that if Buhari can shun the "I must nominate APC members " ideology, and he appoints credible administrators into his cabinet, it would be an act of true democracy on full blast. Nigerians would be better for it, because really, if half of those he intends to appoint have issues with the EFCC, it leaves him with a few to choose from. So he should look outside the box. We don't care, as long as they are capable.

    2. Another disaster is oyinlola. Why is dt guy representing my state? From military governor to democratic governor, d guy has bn chopping govt money since thy kingdom come wt NOTHING to show for anything.

Buhari, say it aint so. Anyway i'll wait for d official list on channels. All these newspapers carry lies to get online traffic & to sell paper. D only thing trustworthy in nigerian newspapers is a factual past event they witnessed & are talking about OR if they interview somebody. Everythin else na wash. Conjecture upon conjecture upon opinion upon opinion wt multiple pinches of lies.

  6. Am seeing better names today but still don't know why present government want to appoint oyinlola. We want to see more technocrats like Pat Utomi,Falana, Festus. Good to see Pat's name as I mentioned it days ago,Pat Utomi is one of the best hand knowledgeable enough to handle our critical economy. But Dambazua again??????

  21. No Fashola, then no ministerial list... Tinubu and his likes succeeded in messing up that guy... It is well o... Buhari, We desire Fashola!!! We want Fasholaaa on the list!!!! *Tears*

  22. I hope that old man with yellow teeth called Thiefnubu is happy that his mission has been accomplished with Fashola's name out of the list. What goes round comes around I can assure you. This is their version of change. Buhari deceived us with the newspaper advertorial of the team he is taking to Aso rock with Fashola's picture and name boldly included and we voted, only for Kill joys to keep petitioning him just to achieve their goal. Is Oyinlola above board? I dont believe it? Naija for show. De more you look the less you see, abrakatabra. Ameachi no pain me but Fashola's own is very painful. So PMB bowed to pressure? Na wah

  23. Please why must the two powerful appointments for delta state come from Delta east? No good brains from Itsekiri's,Isoko,Urhobo's etc? They must always come from IBB's inlaws areas? Na wah. Oppression. They don't even have oil. That was how he dashed them state capital years back. We in delta state are watching with our hands crossed !!!!!
