The Federal Government has announced the immediate suspension of the recent recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) conducted on the directives of the immediate past President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, between March and April this year.
A reliable NIS source disclosed that the Board of Prisons, Immigration, Civil Defence and the Fire Service has directed immediate suspension of every activity related to the recruitment until further notice.
To this effect, the NIS headquarters has instructed state commands and heads of training institutes to recall newly recruited persons sent for training at the Immigration Service Training Schools at Orlu, Kano and Ohoada.
Many job seekers lost their lives last year at a recruitment across the country, a development that warranted a Presidential Committee on Immigration Recruitment constituted on March 26, 2014 by former President Goodluck Jonathan.
However, the recruitment was mired in controversies which was one of the reasons for the removal from office of the former Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Mr. David Parradang.
Recently, the ill-fated recruitment also led to serious disagreements between the former Minister, Ministry of Interior, Abba Moro and David Parradang.
During the now suspended employment exercise, less than 5,000 Nigerians, including candidates of families that lost loved ones in the botched 2014 recruitment that resulted in the death of about 15 applicants were enlisted and sent for training to become personnel of the service.
Vanguard source who spoke on conditions of anonymity disclosed that confusion has already set in since the circular from the board was received last week
Hian!!
ReplyDeleteThat's cause some certain persons in apc have eyes there, they want to plug in all their family members.
DeleteDouble Hian!!!
DeleteOk.Noted
ReplyDeleteVery very good. After stressing us for the recent examination. Had to travel to my state of origin for it with little money some one helped me with i didnt get the job. We were told its all formalities because they already have a list of those they are employing ,those who had connection. We that had no one were used to conduct exercise n waste our time n little money. That was why i was very happy wen the sacked paradang. Stupid man. Am sure Nigeria's administration found out that yet again the second recruitment was also not a fair one.
ReplyDeleteDid you do well in the test?
DeleteNever ever think for a second that you CANNOT make it. Do not listen to people.
I heard all that during my tests and interviews,I refused to be discouraged.
You can be hired even when you don't know a single soul in the organisation.
So did you do well?
Why cant people be selfless? If you say you helping someone, why collect money for something that is supposed to be free. This is the corruption we talking about in the civil service.the mist troubling part is most of the people demanding money to help another probably got tbe job without knowing anyone.
DeleteThe greatest thing setting the black race back is lack of love for ourselves.
Iphie,I suspect you are in your 50's or 60's just like me. Your sense too much o
DeleteThis one na abuse with style. Association of the gwe gwe's
Deleteiphie over sabi madam for ur information i did very very well in all stages of d interview. DeleteNa wa o. Imagine person when don give testimony for church about this employment and don already dey reason first fruit giving only to hear a day to leaving training this kind story. The mindbreak no be here o. God please provide for yours.
ReplyDeleteSomeone gave testimony in my fellowship. God is in control all the same
DeleteThey should get ready for the big probe by PMB, hmmmmm
ReplyDeleteHmmmm
ReplyDeleteNa wa ooo! Won't they just leave the people to start this job already?! Haven't they suffered enough?
ReplyDeleteOk
ReplyDeleteOk
ReplyDeleteOkay
ReplyDeleteWe are perfectly aware of the fraud and controversies surrounding the recruitment process but I don't think it's a wise decision to call back those in training.
ReplyDeleteCalling back the new in- takes is not the solution to the problem(s).
The government should implore more measures to reduce unemployment and not to make the situation worse.
Baba Go Slow (aka D......) causing confusion everywhere. Am sure majority of those appilicants must have paid money for this recruitment. Some must have slept with those useless officers. See wahala.
ReplyDeleteSome would have been telling their friends how and what they will do when they enter immigration.
Pity ooo
Daura Dullard, is d unemployment market not big enough? We know ppl lost their lives to this, we know there is corruption in dis sector(which sector don't you have corruption), why will u still want people to be jobless cos u can't deny that this would have employed a lot of people. Is dis d change u promised ? Everyday sacking, now u won't even let ppl get jobs. Is Dat ur agenda for Nigeria???? Smh for ur stupid self and ur stupid supporters.
ReplyDeleteEka Eka Eka.u lack decorum.

ReplyDeleteSo,is it true you ppl were recalled?

ReplyDeleteMay the souls of the gentle departed lost during this exercise RIP
ReplyDeleteOk o!
ReplyDeleteThats very good.
ReplyDeleteThe immigration 2015 recruitment was free and fair. Those who got the jobs have undergone 3months induction exercise in their respective state commands....they were supposed to proceed to their various training schools when they were suddenly
ReplyDeleteasked to go home till further notice. Till now they haven't been addressed on any new development. So their employment is at stake.
Ok, let it be suspended so that they can do a fresh recruitment and bring in their own people. Ndi ara
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteHe must have a very strong reason for doing this. Slow or not slow, Buhari is very intelligent and smart.
ReplyDelete@ Anony 15:01.... May God deliver you! And you wonder why you didn't get the job? Na wa oooh!!! People are S̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴̴̴̴̴͡ wicked and heartless.
ReplyDeleteYes I know the 1999 cuz we met and talk, still do on different platforms and Every1 was full of joy nd happiness that they didn't know anyone yet they were picked. Some that were fortunate to see their scores during documentation got 90s and 80s to tell you how competitive the test was. Please, remove jealousy from your life and be genuinely happy for others. I got the job and S̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴̴̴̴̴͡ long God gave me, not you nor anyone can take it from me without answering to Him. I wish you well....
@ Irene B..... We were asked to go home till further notice. We haven't been suspended or recalled, Vanguard only gave stale news cuz we've been home for almost 2 weeks now.
