Fayose distributed sallah rams to Muslims in the state on Tuesday asking them to shun politicians whipping religious sentiments and clerics who had earlier ordered muslims not to collect rams or any food items for the celebration.
Distributing the rams in Government House, Fayose said he won’t allow himself to be dragged into playing politics with religion in the State.
“I won’t allow anybody to drag me into playing politics with religion.
What I am doing today is a demonstration of love and support for the Muslims. I am not that kind of a leader who does things with religious interest.
“I will do same to Christians at Christmas exactly what I am doing to Muslims today. Ekiti is one whether you are Muslim or Christian and this is the spirit I want all of us to imbibe.

Why cant people just give their widows mite without documenting it in form of pics or videos?
ReplyDeleteMr Fayose I put it to you that you are playing politics with this distribution while also trying to score political points.
Politicians have the masses/electorate figured out. Hence my saying, religion is for average joes while spirituality is the "greats".
Be speakin english

DeleteBefore nko?
DeleteThe guy na strategist na.
Stranger, I beg to disagree. Don't forget that he's not bidding for second term, cos he's only allowed four years according to the Constitution and having served before. My point is, it's natural for Fayose to relate with the grassroot Ekiti people. Trust me when I say he's not doing eye service. It's typical of him. The man no send. Lol
DeleteNne u goofed. The one he served before has passed. He is now with a fresh mandate and can go for second term if he so wish. Get ur facts
DeleteNO anonymous u goofed. He can NOT run a second term because he has been elected TWICE into office. Although at different times. So bidding for a third term would mean asking for a THIRD mandate and it is unconstitutional. Go check it out ok?
DeleteAll for the news.
ReplyDeleteHow many rams?
Fayose should goan chill.
Why won't they accept the Sallah rams?. It is a goodwill gift.
ReplyDeleteFuck off to all ye political n religious bigots
Very nice.
ReplyDelete"I am not that kind of a leader who does things with religious interest"...coded shade at president Buhari
ReplyDeleteBy d way, did buhari's close frnd redirect his rams to ekiti??
Is dis really necessary??? Isn't this a waste of public funds or is it coming from his pocket?
ReplyDeleteIt is not. Killing an animal like ram, camel etc during this sallah is very important to muslims.
