Diezani's Neighbours Can Now Walk/Jog Pass Her Property Without Being Turned Back By Armed Security.

As Minister of Petroleum, Ms. Diezani Alison-Madueke was not only powerful, but influential. She was highly revered and had the ears of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

It was no surprise, therefore, that her exquisite detached house in Lekki Phase 1, Victoria Island, Lagos, was heavily guarded by mobile policemen and naval ratings. Right in front of the property is a well-manicured waterfront garden with a small jetty, where speedboats and small yachts of various types were anchored.

But as the popular saying goes, the only thing constant in life is change. Today, the number and size of boats anchored near the garden have dwindled to just three boats that lack the splendour of the former large vessels that used to grace the entrance to the property.

Also, unlike in the past when the security around the building was so tough that residents had to keep moving until they got past it, there are currently only one or two unarmed naval ratings carrying out sentry duties at the site.

It was also gathered that until now, the exclusive corner piece property, which overlooks the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge, used to be a no-go area, even for residents of the estate.

However, even though the building has not yet lost its beauty, residents are said to be having some respite, as they can now jog past the property without being accosted, harassed or interrogated by heavily armed guards.

Those few people elected or appointed into the corridors of power shouldn't for any reason make the masses live in fear because power belongs to the people and moreover they live large on tax payers money.
Anything other than that is unjust and unacceptable.

    7. You brainless fool Anon 10.14, who told you that Deziani is Ibo? Is Beyelsa now Ibo? The woman married retired navy officer Allison Maduekwe a couple of years ago, hence her double barrel surname. Of course Allison Maduekwe is Ibo, but did you hear anything from him all the time she was in power?

Stupid pot calling kettle black, can any ordinary person stop in front of Tinubu's house without being harassed by soldiers? Look at all the evil and wicked leaders and people in power we've had since the 60s (including the incumbent in his first calling) and tell me what tribes they came from.

    1. How hard can they hit somebody who is down low. This house in question belongs to Admiral Allison Madueke. He rose to become an Admiral even a higher rank than Buhari(he was a major general when he was toppled). So he is entitled to naval guards until his death. I remember the wedding reception of a colleague then In First Atlantic Bank who is the nephew of Admiral that took place at their waterfront around 2005.Diezani was a small madam then and was very warm to all of us on the bridal train. Please lets get the fact right, the house belongs to Admiral not Diezani.

Lol reporters and exaggeration.Stella yes security details are not everywhere like in the past but the aspect of saying you couldn't jog past that building when she was in power is a big fat lie from the pit of hell. The naval guys would not let you park your car anywhere around the building and you can't stop there too to make suspicious calls..but jogging?? Na lie you can jog and walk around there freely..A house that's close to waterside bar where drugs and weed are sold freely .make una dey fear God o.Diezani that walks around there whenever she's around to see her hubby that will respond to your greetings politely with a lovely smile...World people like say if una get opportunity una no go follow line una pocket.its a chess game y'all just don't get checkmated

The security officers wouldn't (& still won't) let you park or loiter outside her gate though, which makes sense especially since you can buy all manner of hard drugs or even get child prostitutes just a few meters away
