Kate Mara and David Oyelowo star in this abduction thriller directed by Jerry Jameson. Oyelowo stars as Brian Nichols, a young man who escapes from the Fulton County courthouse in Atlanta after being sentenced to time in prison for rape. While making his escape, Nichols murders the presiding judge as well as three other people, sparking a manhunt by the authorities in the process. Desperately looking for a place to lay low, he kidnaps Ashley Smith (Mara), a troubled young single mother, and forces her to shelter him. As the manhunt continues and Ashley is unable to visit her child, she turns to 'The Purpose Driven Life', a Christian devotional book, for guidance.
