The Senator representing Abia North district, Mao Ohuabunwa has reminded President Muhammadu Buhari, that his administration would not function well without the Igbos.
Ohuabunwa, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party Senator, made the statement on Saturday while speaking with journalists in Umuahia, Abia State capital.
The legislator expressed disappointment in Buhari for snubing the South East zone in his appointments so far.
He said, “I don’t believe we can be running this country without Ndigbo. I believe that sidelining Ndigbo is a time bomb that is waiting to explode.”
Ohuabunwa enjoined Buhari to stop denying Ndigbo opportunities to serve in his administration under the pretense of searching for saints, contending that Ndigbo parades an army of people with unquestionable character.
“But since the man said he is looking for people with impeccable character, lets assume he hasn’t found any among South East APC members. Let him come to me and I would donate a man of integrity to him”, he added.

Please these people shouldn't start another civil war by making offensive statements like this.

What do u mean by Offensive statement? Can't u see that d igbos are being sidelined in his appointments so far???
DeleteOpen ur brain. Read and assimilate before commenting. How's that statement supposed to incite war.

DeleteI trust Yoruba that has no biz with this to come and talk nonsense
ReplyDeleteWhat people don't understand is that these statements actually have nothing to do with ndi igbo. An average Igbo man has benefited NOTHING from politics even during the time of Our so called brother Goodluck. Igbos are hustlers and have been making their own money from time immemorial. Those who need political appointments should speak for themselves and stop acting like they're speaking in the interest of ndi igbo. All we want is a better Nigeria, an enabling ground to make cool cash and not all these political noisemaking
DeletePls where is the 'like' button ?
DeleteIf they think Nigeria cannot function without the igbos then they should go to their biafra and form their own government full of igbos and leave the rest of Nigeria to get on with governing themselves in peace.
ReplyDeleteIs it by force.
anu mpama
Delete@ anonymous , I'm not in support of my people begging for appointments but it'll be unfair to presume that Igbos do not add value to the country. They are a hardworking people who were taught to fend for themselves.
DeleteThese politicians are fighting for their own pockets and not benefit of the Igbos. That being said, Buhari can appoint whomever he sees fit as long as they get the job done.
Abeg he should shut d hell up.
ReplyDeleteEverybody wana stay relevant by going to 2 media houses to spill trash
He doesn't need to be told. He knows it already.
ReplyDeleteNdigbo will resist at all cost any attempt to sideline them in the affairs of this country.
You can't deny them their dream homeland and refuse to accept them fully as citizens of the country
And this is not the sixties. Time and things ve changed.
A word is enough for the wise.
Yeye dey smell....

I am tired of igbo elders seriously, i hate reading comments like ohuabunwa's on social media. They create more hatred among the youths on social media. Social media attacks nowadays on ethnicity are due to comments like his and other elders, makes no sense to me.
ReplyDeleteMr Ohuabunwa, why not channel your energy to Abia state government. The people of Abia state deserve good leadership than your comment on why igbo's are yet to be elected into cabinet. Some of you benefitted a lot during Jonathan regime, none of us shared the national cake with you guys. Why drag a whole tribe into your madness?
You can do better criticising your state government than a president who is yet to elect his cabinet.
Chai They have taken our son Jaymoore...
DeleteOrinma...
Jay moore stick ur both hands into ur ass and fuck urself till you throw out all d bile inside of you...Scumbag.
DeleteGod bless you for this
Delete@Jaymore,how can Buhari elect his own cabinet?
DeleteAre you doing drugs?
@Queen nwanyioma, no one have taken me away. We have to speak up when is necessary, the crying by our leaders wont change anything until we change our attitude towards nation building. We have more than 100tribes in Nigeria but we are the most hated. Don't you think we have problem? Our elders created so much hatred among us. None of them fighting for so called igbo's are genuine, they are fighting for their selfish interest. If war break up today, do you think our so called senator will stay in Nigeria to fight for you and me? of-course not. I do not care who rule Nigeria, PMB can elect all his hausa brothers after 4years we will start to look into his government as well. Let's criticise when is necessary and our criticism should also reflect togetherness and good governance not war or inciting word.
Delete@anonymous 11.08 may God hail your broken heart. Say amen to my prayer?
Tank u oo!! Only if oda igbos can be as sensible as u are! During Obasaki o ' s tym aw many yorubas were dere? Did we cry foul? Even GEJ aw many yorubas e help? But u won't catch us being shameless and crying all ova like a broken record. ....
DeleteU pple shld suck it up
MAO represents my constituency in the Senate, he has done absolutely nothing for us right from his days in house of Reps except for his heavy jazz he's known for
Delete@jaymore,how can the Almighty God hail someone's heart?
DeleteHow do you even communicate with people around you?
Smh

DeleteChop kiss jaymoore !you just nailed the truth. Who has the ohaneze helped? Always fighting for their pocket. Greedy men.
DeleteJay Moore I respect ur speech, Unlike bastard money marker and d bitch call queen. hungry elders should speak for their selves, They shouldn't involve us.
DeleteJaymoore making sense as always
DeleteI think it's time the Igbos take a chill pill & quit acting like sissies.
ReplyDeleteIf he believes in the competent hands of his Northern counterparts, then by all means, he should be allowed to breathe while we watch and see.
How many AkwaIbomites/Crossriverians do we have in the government? Yet we can't complain because all we want is Change.
Chop kiss Quicksilver

ReplyDeleteGerraraher Men!!! You can 'donate' indeed....
ReplyDeleteYawnsssss.
ReplyDeleteis it by force to appoint Igbo? which kind threatening statement is that... abeg make una go sit down joor
ReplyDeleteAre igbos not part of Nigeria?...
DeleteD ones he appointed nko? Is it written in d constitution to appoint igbos? So n sleep jare! ! Wat do u know sef?
DeleteI hope say u don hear am now!!!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing offensive in this, they say "truth is bitter". In a country that comprises of many tribes which is our strenght and "federal character" is not observed, what do u expect?
ReplyDeleteThere was (is) militancy in Niger delta, there is bokoharam in d north and presently d indigbos are being sideline won't that motivate biafrians to defend their right as a Nigerians in whatever means?
Forget about that this senator is a PDP member he is saying d truth. Buhari should caution and advice. We don't want unrest in east and west bcos once that happen couple with what is happening in oda region, Nigeria is doom but GOD FORBID.
*****EVERYWHERE IS GOOD*****
Ur an idiot. Chop e slap
DeleteIf u can comment as a ghost(anonymous) den u are not worth exchanging words with.
Delete*****EVERYWHERE IS GOOD*****
I wish my fellow igbo citizen can just ignore this Buhari administration and see the outcome. the more they keep reminding him that, the more he keep feeling like a little god. Pls can we just ignore this man already and continue developing our igbo nation?
ReplyDeleteAbi?...you are right though afteral,he dosent put food on my table...
DeleteMr. Senator we need Peace ooooo..
ReplyDeleteMake é explode. The igbos were too funny in d last elections. I no blame my president but Def ministers will come out from d igbo tribe. There's just this bitter taste in d mouths of d igbos for hausas n vice versa. Na them sabi
ReplyDeleteMaybe he has not really seen one good one. SMH
ReplyDeleteSHUT UP ALREADY! START YOUR STUPID CIVIL WAR! EXPLODE!!!!
ReplyDeleteNO ONE CARES!
@ Alloy chikezie, what's an offensive statement on what he said? Isn't it so clear that your so called buhari never wanted an igbos around him, ka obu onye kwue pant ya efuru?
ReplyDeleteI just sigh
ReplyDeletethey should get out I am tired of hearing this things na only ndigbos be Nigerians you guys should get out rubbish we are all Nigerians
ReplyDelete#GODWIN™
@d senator you have spoken well and I cannot agree less with money maker. PMB is waiting for d SE to start trouble so that they will be given their dues. NG belongs to everybody and if PMB feels dat d IGBOs don't belong pls let them go.
ReplyDelete@Ify Tabansi If it's about Nigeria then it concerns Yoruba, it does not concern you because you belong to Biafra so go to your Biafra.
ReplyDeletePlease @ Alloy chikezie speaks the truth, what does he mean by time bomb. Why use such a term. You can start a war in Nigeria like you did in the past and like in the past, only your people will suffer and die in whatever war you start. Stupid cry babies.
ReplyDeleteBuhari should do the needful if the allegation is true. One Nigeria I want not divided
ReplyDeleteBuhari the Tribalistic Hausa Goat!
ReplyDeleteYou called someone as old as ur father a goat? Uhu...social media!
DeleteOke mkpi !
DeleteAnd the "hausa goat" is your president. Meaning, u belong to the animal farm. Eheheh eh
DeleteShow me a foul and I will show you the characteristics of been a fool as displayed on Anonymous 8.56, 8.58 and 9.03 comments. Bitter soul, why did you go anonymous. You called Igbos money hungers, yes we are unlike you that is so lazy and weak always afraid of Hausas'. oga eme gi na anya fiam.
ReplyDeleteAppointment never finish naa!! Abeg u guys shld take a chill pill....
ReplyDeleteall of una wey dey use id, how much stella dey pay you monthly for commenting with your id. why una no carry blog id go collect money from bank.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it dat when it comes to igbo matter some blog visitors will go anonymous to insult, my observation though...
ReplyDeleteFunny enough the ministerial list might now benefits the igbos more. But really these indigbos are fighting for their own pocket just as jaymoor has pointed out not for the interest of the igbos.
ReplyDeleteAre they still on this matter?
ReplyDeletePart of good governance is getting all hands on deck- igbos, Yorubas , Hausa , ibidio , Fulani etc. PMB not choosing from any part is not a good sign. The constitution is a guide to good governance . So , not following the constitution as stipulated is wrong whether it affects the igbos , Yoruba or any tribe. And you BVs that are talking, be fair in your judgement because what goes around comes around. It may be another tribe tomorrow or it may affect you next time and you will not like it. To make this country great , we must be truly nationalistic and honest irrespective of tribe.
ReplyDeleteIkwuka Ifunanya Godslove it is you and your entire family and generation that fire will burn and consume.
ReplyDeleteDon't let me put your name in my prayers tonight because you will start to shit yourself immediately where ever you are.
The truth is there for all to see, just because you all are in denial does not change the truth and the facts.
Tell that to the Igbos @ anon 17:01
ReplyDeleteThey are the only problematic tribe in Nigeria
@Anonymous 19:33, i hear you oh. So only the igbo are the problematic tribe in Nigeria? Fear God oh. One thing i hv noticed is the height of hatred most pple hv towards the igbos but worry not abt it cos no mata how tall an iroko tree is, it must surely come down. But one day
