Rotary Goveronor, Dr. Mike Omotosho Marks World Humanitarian Day Kicking out Polio in Nigeria
Today is world Humanitarian day and lots of notable people are making statements that can’t be ignored across the globe. One of such people is Dr. Mike Omotosho, Governor of Rotary International, District 9125 comprising 22 states plus the FCT.
Driven by a personal conviction that believes everyone on earth is a tenant and the only way we pay our rents is by service to humanity, big Mike as he is fondly called is fully committed to spending lots of time doing extensive philanthropy works. He is always doing something good somewhere for someone in need. With little or no external assistance, he has solely been involved in making the world a better place.
His charitable activities include but not limited to the following: sinking of boreholes in communities, provision of micro credits to over 500 women, scholarship programs for over 300 indigent students, employability development programs for 500 unemployed youths, medical mission in several communities benefiting over 3000 indigenes, donation of bus to physically challenged, and many more intervention initiative that gave gift of human dignity to the downtrodden.
In his quest to eradicating Polio in Nigeria, Dr Mike paid a courtesy visit to Jos where he was received by the Executive Governor of Plateau State Simon Lalong
