Romanian Traveller Dubbed The Finance Minister Lavishes Cash On Grandson's Wedding Where Happy Couple Got GOLD BARS As Gifts

It's the season for getting married in Romania, as travellers returned to the country for another huge 'gipsy wedding'.
Money was no object for the bride and groom, who is the grandson of Grado Carpaci - known as 'The Finance Minister' – as they tied the knot in an extravagant ceremony in the city of Timisoara.

But the rows of supercars landed the group in hot water with police, who were
seen slapping parking tickets on illegally-parked vehicles.

Residents at the Carpaci wedding initially called the police complaining that a procession of Bentley, BMW, Ferrari and Mercedes owned by wedding guests were blocking the road – before the party got in trouble for playing music too loudly and parking poorly.

The celebrations started on Wednesday afternoon in the courtyard of the grand house located on Eminescu Street, in the centre of Timisoara.
The bride wore a designer dress, apparently from Milan, worth thousands of euros and covered in Swarovksi crystals.

Meanwhile the teenage groom was dressed in his white parade uniform, with yellow embroidery sewn with gold.
Travellers from France, Italy, the UK, Spain, Germany and even from the USA attended the wedding, arriving in luxury cars with expensive gifts.
Gipsy singers Florin Salam and Nicolae Guta – some of the highest earning starts within the travelling community - were the artists that performed at the celebration.

More than 700 guests turned up to the event in around 200 cars which included Porsches, Ferraris, Mercedes, Lamborghinis, BMWs and Humvees.

The procession of high-end motors 'paralysed' traffic in Petrosani as the entire town turned into the party venue, Romanian websites have reported.

The traffic lights were switched off as the bride and groom - who have not been named - rode through the town on a white carriage adorned by Romanian flags, led by two black stallions.
Gipsy pop stars Florin Salam and Nicolae Guta performed at the wedding and the 'music could be heard a few neighbourhoods away', Romania Mondena reported.
Footage of the extravagant affair, which took place on August 3, showed dozens of super-cars driving down the street as one guest followed the procession from his helicopter above.

Romanian website Gazeta de Dimineata told MailOnline that the police did not have authorisation to shut the town down for the wedding.
The media outlet asked the local police, who are 'lenient with wedding guests' who the bride and groom were but never got an answer.
It says the super-car parade was in fact led by a police car being driven by the town's deputy in charge of police.

One gatecrasher, who was refused entry, reportedly climbed onto a nearby construction site and threw bricks at the wedding party before he was arrested.
