    1. If this is real, then the man needs counseling. No be only 16 wives.

But seriously, giving beggers money these days is a bit risky. Evil people disguise as beggers to commit their evil acts.

    5. The art of giving money to random persons on the street should be guided solely by the spirit of God. I tell u, some may be so wretched, yet undeserving of any penny from you. Not to mention the spiritual implications. Let's not even go there. But in all, it is good to give as the spirit leads.

  13. Beggars!!! The set of "beggars" I fear most are the ones in parks, you see them using God's name to lie and beg for money even to the extent of carrying religious books!!! I rather give my money to a handicapped mother begging with children than those set! God ve mercy on us!

    1. Even some women rent kids to beg on the streets. Shebi I put the gist here one time of a nanny that carried the baby she was minding to beg for alms on the busy street of Ikeja. Broad day light o, that's how the baby's father saw her in traffic. He nearly ran mad. One can't be too sure these days.

  17. I hardly give beggars money.
Except I am deeply moved by my spirit

That's how this supposed husband and wife at ikeja under bridge (the one close to lthe general hosp) approached my window and started pleading that their daughter was dying at the hospital and needed 3k to complete payment of the drugs administered to them.

I use my church mind give them 2k hoping that at least they would have begged the remaining 1k as that was all I could spare at the time.

Two days later, I saw same 'couple', they approached me at the traffic junction, same story.
    Mtchew!

    2. Ahhhhh u would have alerted the police, those ppl re scams

That's how one approached my elder sis at the atm saying the wife was dying my sis gave him 5k oh, he didn't know my sis works there n she just came out to use ATM, she went into the banking hall after some hours came out met him begging other ppl with same story that's when he realize that d man is a fraud, she started telling ppl what he did, after that day nobody saw him a round there again

    4. BL, for that same spot ehn, there's one haggard looking guy that carries one wrinkled dirty paper of prescription from general hospital, he's always saying his wife is btw life and death in the hospital and the prescription is for her drugs. He'll even say u can follow him to the hospital to confirm. Yinmu like say person go follow am. I've seen him at the gas station by that bridge like 3x. And if u go there this morning u go still see am there. Since last year o. Same paper dey him hand. Lolll

    5. Lol @ sisi.
That's the point. You beg today with a story and people help, and then you continue with same story everyother day, same spot, you become useless to those who you've previously scammed.

  27. Those giving them are the ones causing this kinda thing. If you wanna help someone not monetary but adding value to that person's life is the best.

I hardly give based on stories on how some Alhajis collect their money and replace with another cash i.e. those working for them.

Its such a habit, because no matter how you give they will still beg and beg.

We have difft types of begging shah.

  28. I used to give beggers money too until a police man (UK)told me not to be giving money to them as they use it for drugs. I do feel sorry for them, but when I think about it again, they have access to benefits and all.
