Governor of Lagos State Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has come to the aid of Adwale Obelomo the young man who his leg was crushed by a hit and run driver on the Third Mainland Bridge on Thursday July 16th 2015.
As widely reported by media houses, the young and very hardworking mechanic
‘Dewale was returning from Victoria Island to his workshop in Agodo Egbe area of Alimosho where he had gone to pick up a customer’s vehicle for repairs.
In the course of alighting from the vehicle to observe a deafening sound coming from the rear, a Toyota Hilux driver at top-speed ran into him - crushing his legs and damaging the Toyota Camry car beyond repair. His left leg had to be amputated immediately while the right one was broken and still under close observation.
The President of the Olu Akinnifesi Foundation (a Non-Governmental Organization situated in Alimosho) Mr. Akinyemi Akinnifesi reached out to the Governor and appraised him of the situation. It is heartwarming to report that His Excellency has reached out to Adewale by defraying his medical costs and sending a personal message of hope and goodwill.
Adewale is in high spirits and eager to be re-integrated into society. He is admitted at De-bajo Hospital on Bajulaiye Street in Somolu LGA area of Lagos State receiving treatment and any support for his welfare from members of the Public are welcome.

ReplyDeleteThese journalist can lie biko..
Someone that with both his legs was a loser, now that both leg has been cut off , what kind of future awaits him...
Politicians are attention seekers and would use anything however irrelevant to be in the news.
Hahaha I dey tell u.
DeleteEager to re-integrate into the society as what??? Being dependent his entire life...Naaa i doubt any one would be eager for such.
If ambode really wants to go out on a limb to help the guy,he should get prosthesis for the dude @least i heard some manageable ones go for as low as 300k.
With that, the dude could fit into d society without any1 suspecting he might have lost both limbs
Anyways...Nice of ambode to have offered sef cos most governors wouldn't especially dt thief called rochas
Lol. Eze ego onu ojo.
