Drunk Dies During Physical Altercation With Wife.

Vanguard reports that a 30-year-old man, identified as Ndubuisi Kalu, has slumped and died after he was allegedly pushed down by his wife in Aba, Abia State.
The couple, who lived at Pepple Street, Ogbor Hill, reportedly quarrelled frequently over his drinking habit.

As the deceased came back again drunk, his wife, Immaculeta, was said to have pushed him down. He fell and died before he could receive medical attention.
A resident in the area said: “The man was formerly employed, but was laid off by his employer and had since remained unemployed.

“On that day, the man went out to drink as usual and came back drunk. The wife, who was not happy with his drinking habit, started rebuking him and that angered the man.

“While they were arguing, the wife pushed him and he slumped and died.”
Spokesman of Abia State Police Command, DSP Ezekiel Onyeke, who confirmed the incident, said Ogbor Hill Police Division had commenced investigation into the incident.
He said police were also investigating their landlady and two eyewitnesses, adding “late Kalu had epilepsy and there are other things that we need to find out.

“We learned that the landlady gave them three hours to vacate her house, which she effected on the day of the incident.”

  5. RIP to Kalu. See what unemployement in this country has done. Drinking is not the answer to solving life issues.

The landlady is wicked. They dont empathize when their tenants falls on hard times.

    1. They used money to build their houses, if they wanted to run an NGO they would notify the general public.
Nigerians should learn to be realistic in their judgement.
All one prays for is not to be found in such situation.

    2. Thank you anonymous 11:14. Please be realistic in your judgements. I'm sure the landlady does charity in other ways. Her house is not a charity project. The same people who are talking are the same people who will fight their friends over N20,000 naira debt. Talk less of a landlady being owed money from people she's merely transacting business with.
