A Blog Visitor's Encounter With The Executive Gov Of Abia State- A Must Read!

''Hello Stella. How are you today? I am an SDK ardent reader and want to share my experience with you on the above caption. During the last public holidays. I boarded an Air peace Flight from Owerri to Lagos. As we boarded, I sat in trying to settle down when a guy sitting near me tapped me and asked surprisingly, is that not the Governor of Abia State?

Wow, I said, yes he is.

To my greatest surprise, he took a seat in the economy class. Hmmmm Stella I was shocked. A sitting Governor that had everything at his beck and call. You could see his aide, he was travelling with running helter skelter trying to make him settle down and he simply dismissed him that he will be fine.

You could see the anger on his (the aide's) face and bitterness. For him, he was breaking protocols and he felt panicky. He felt the gov should be in the Business class and not in the economy, which befits him and where he could have his privacy and be more secured too.

The governor didn’t mind. He took his seat and settled down, quietly and amicably. I kept watching because I could not believe what my eyes were seeing. As he sat in, people started going to him to greet him and before you knew it the flight was set for takeoff.

Then when we got to Lagos, I walked up to him and introduced myself to him, where I came from and where I work. He listened carefully and was not in a hurry to go. Stella I have never seen such humility. Usually when I see some notable people I just greet them and pass, but for this one, I was touched by his humility and the reason I went close to him. I engaged him for 5 to 7 minutes and he didn’t mind.

I asked him why economy and he simply answered, “My sister, this is where I belong”. That statement alone swept me off my feet.

After our discussion I asked him how my state is. He said my state is fine. He promised to change the face of Abia. Stella I saw sincerity in his voice and all I ever thought about him changed. I gave him my card and took his phone no because I told him my Organization would come for an advocacy visit because of the work we do in Abia state.

I quickly asked him '' hope this is your direct line sir'' and he said yes. While his aide was trying to do his work, he still obliged me and took these photographs with some of us that came to greet him.  I have made up my mind to give him a chance.

Before now, It was Alex Otti, I wanted for my state Abia. But after meeting this man. I have decided to let him be. When someone is this humble, then he will have a listening ear. Except if he does otherwise then I will come back for him.

Dr. Ikpeazu….you made me believe that you are here to serve and that you mean business. You have my support…………..''

Dr. Ngozi Noel-Ogamba. (Nee Nnanna)

*Doctor i need the number too oooh..abi BV'S how una see am?if you need the number too say OHON OHON!

I am not into all these high praises for govt officials but I don't think this was a paid advert.

Maybe the governor paid her afterwards.

I don't care if he enters Keke Napep, the state of underdevelopment in Abia state is horrible. He should start working sharp sharp biko.

Dearies, please don't confuse "aruruala" with humility.
If your state is looking like an aftermath of third world war, you can as well ignore that aspect and enter okada, gullible people will be like "he is so humble"
