ARMED ROBBERY EXPERIENCE

Dear SDK,
My name is Sandra am an ardent reader of your blog,I want to use this platform to share my ugly robbery experience with fellow BVS ,I and a colleague of mine worked late on the 11th of June 2015,we were at Eco hotel round about waiting for bus around 8:30pm we decided to try other option,we saw a car,we told them we were heading to Egbeda normally private card come around to pick passengers and collect money from them,we thought they were genuine when they said they were going to Ikeja if Ikeja is good for us and we said yes,we entered,we started gisting just two heavy guys in the car on suit, they asked us where we work and we told them, they told us they work with zenith Bank.

So we relaxed,on getting to Ozumba Mbadiwe they branched of to Kofo  Abayomi street, the one driving told us he wanted to drop the 2nd one since his not driving with us,it was then my colleague and I knew they were robbers, they collected our phones, the little money we had and even my shoe, and out of fear, because they were beating my colleague for shouting she was really screaming, they asked me to give them 50k,they collected my 4 atm  and they tied our hands with Cello tape and asked us to close our eyes.

I was so scared, out of fear I released my ATM pins which they used in withdrawing about a 100k from my account, this guys are IBO,we actually spoke ibo in the car thought they were nice people, unfortunately they turned out to be robbers,so am saying this so that people will be more careful, they operate with a jeep.
Thank you as you let the public know the schemes if this evil guys.

My Experience With An Army Official
I had an experience with an army official today and I decided to share. On our way to the office today, my friend Chris brought along his neighbor who is an army official, Corporal Ihanza (real names withheld). He was supposed to drop him off at the barracks on the Island. As we commenced our journey, Corporal Ihanza engaged Chris in a conversation; they talked about the Lagos traffic and what the Lagos state government could do to ease the stress caused by the unending Lagos traffic.

I drifted in and out of sleep as they conversed. The discussion slowly drifted to Corporal Ihanza’s stay in the north, he told Chris that he had served in Maiduguri and had just returned home last year. My eyes flew open at that…Maiduguri? I asked? Yes he reiterated. Did you see the boko haram terrorists? I asked. I knew that sounded silly but I just had to ask. Ihanza chuckled. Yes I did, he responded, they are human beings just like you and I, nevertheless they behave like animals.

I wanted to know more so I pressed on…

What are they like? Are they kids, adults? Are they trained fighters? They are mostly under aged children with guns, he retorted, they usually appear drugged too. Drugged? Yes, they act like they are no longer humans, they charge forward with their guns shooting sporadically, killing everything in their path. They don’t even bother to take cover when they encounter resistance from the army and when they are shot and injured, they keep charging at you with their bullet ridden bodies, they keep firing until the last blood drops from their bodies and they drop to their knees. Unless they are shot in the head of which they die instantly.

If they want to attack 50 people, they typically come in their numbers; you would see 500 boko haram terrorists confronting a small barracks. Wow, why don’t you just throw a bomb at them I asked? It would be more effective than shooting. Bombs? He laughed. We don’t have bombs, the bombs we have don’t work, you can throw it and it just stays there on the floor. It doesn’t explode. We don’t even have good guns, the guns we fight these people with are obsolete, meanwhile they have superior weapons.

The bullets we use are police bullets because the army bullets available are not good. I shivered as he spoke, and my heart raced. What exactly is the problem with Nigeria my country? For years boko haram terrorists have besieged the north and there are young men out there risking their lives, defending our territories and our people and the government cannot even provide them weapons to fight. They don’t have guns, they don’t have bombs, what are they supposed to fight boko haram with huh? Their bare hands? And every day the government releases press statements promising to end the terrorists attack, they tell us our soldiers are on top of the matter.

They will bring an end to this terrorist war. And I wonder how they hope to achieve this, when top government officials siphon all the money meant to purchase weapons and ammos for our soldiers into their bank accounts. The soldiers are not even well compensated, they are not well paid and they are not well equipped. Why then should they risk their lives fighting?

This is a call to President Muhammadu Buhari who was once an army general, who knows what it means to fight in a war to totally overhaul the Nigerian army! The Nigerian army needs a total upgrade. Things have to be set in place. They deserve to be well paid and thoroughly compensated. They deserved to be treated like the Nigerian heroes that they are, in and out of the battle field.

A correct Igbo person cannot refer to our language as Ibo..If u had called it Igbo i would believe u..But no,u lied..First of all,u lied,u werent robbed,u just want to start a tribal war on IHN today..Trust me u will get it..Over to my Igbo warriors..Nonsense and ingredient..Anu ofia..Ana akogheri!

Abi robbery na good thing wey person go wan claim?. Its even the hausa robbers that are most heartless. Maybe the person just included 'ibo' cos he/she was hurt that his/her brothers robbed them. Not everyone is tribalistic or wants to start a war.

    11. I'm not been tribalistic but from the narrative, the poster is obviously Igbo too. From her story I think what she meant was that they were conversing in igbo before they discovered that the guys are robbers. In my opinion I think what she's trying to say is that despite then been "brothers / sisters" from the same tribe, that didn't stop them from been robbed

    14. Chizoba...always calm down and assimilate. The reason the poster mentioned "igbo" is to show how friendly and how they got along well with the robbers. Point is, they were relaxed with d guys not knowing they had ulterior motives, so it's a warning that even if you meet people that speak the same language as you, it doesn't mean you can't be robbed or harmed. I don't see it as a callout....you translated it that way. Gerrit?

  30. It was only on yesterday's chronicle dat I know why some blog visitors are still single..I cant believe that a woman will advice a man to send his kids away for 3 yrs just to have a honeymoon..What mumu honey moon? Does honeymoon last for 3yrs?
Most girls these days are simply heartless dats why men run away from them faster than a sputnik..I was totally gobsmacked..
So becos of a stupid honeymoon(u've been enjoying by fucking during ur dating days),u want a man to send away his flesh and blood?
Who even do honeymoon these days? Most married women are already pregnant before their wedding or they get pregnant on d night of wedding..Pregnancy wahala don't even allow them enjoy d so called honeymoon..
Sometimes I don't pity some childless women cos this is a reason enough for God to block her wombs.Since she does not have a milk of human kindness, she does not deserve her own biological child..

Some aunty gwegs wey no know d reason why they never find husband are there saying d girl is real.Real in what sense? Real in speaking out her stupidity and wickedness? She knew d guy has a child already, why date him in d first place? If u cant stand d heat, stay away from d kitchen..

No right thinking woman,I mean,no woman in her correct senses will advice a man to chase away his kid bcos of a woman that might end up divorcing him.

One even said she is young at 26yrs blah blah blah.A 26yrs old woman is nolonger a small girl..She has turned to small aunty gwegwegwe..Where were u when ur mates were marrying at d age of 18 and 20? U are here calling ur old self a young girl..Be deceiving urself.

One agamevu woman was cussing d man and his family blaming him for d reason why his ex wife abandoned her daughter..What kind of woman abandons her own child and runs away? Even animals protects their offsprings dangerously, talk more of a human being who should have more milk of human kindness..She is a typical example of a bad wife and dis guy is about to repeat d same mistake Should he go ahead with d marriage.

To all these aunty gwegs wey no see husband marry bcos of una wicked mindset, what if u are a single mother and ur suitor rejects ur child, how are u gonna feel?

Or let me put it dis way, what if u are a single mother about to marry, would u send ur daughter out to stay with ur mom for 3yrs just to enjoy ur so-called honeymoon even though ur husband is not complaining? Would u open ur smelly mouth and tell a child that has stayed and bonded with u,dat she won't live with u anymore bcos u want to enjoy honeymoon with ur new husband? Mere thinking about dis is making me go crazy..Some women on dis blog are totally crazy..They fill up single and mingle all d time with their wicked mind..These are d women that maltreats their maids..They cant even stand d sight of other people's children..God have mercy on women of nowadays..Tufiakwa!

To my haterz and aunty gwegwegwes who will come under my comment to insult dia mothers..Ara gbagbuo unu..Umu Ewu!

He is lucky she spoke out before he married her.
Chizoba please o I am single and not bitter.
The girl doesn't want it's not by force the guy should look for someone else too. He seeking another alternative to suit his girlfriend shows how feeble minded he is else his child should always come first afterall the little girl didn't ask to come into the world or that her parents should divorce.
His daughter deserves to be brought up in a proper home.

  52. Ah the BV that was robbed with her colleague in Visland, it's the latest trends oh. I shared the story of my stylist here a while back, as she was a victim too with her colleague. Both are hairdressers.

They also were picked from Akin Adesola. The car had two guys in it...soon as they entered they asked where they were going and the ladies said they could drop them at the end of the 3rd mainland bridge. While talking they took a detour to a quiet road. That was when the ladies knew they had entered one chance.

They asked for their ATM cards and one of the ladies had 40k cash on her that she wanted to use to restock the following day. They took them to at least 8 different machines, where they withdrew about 60k or so, cos the girl didn't have much money. Afterwards the guys started to argue amongst themselves because one suggested they should be let off, while the other insisted they should try their other cards for more money.
Finally they were let off. As if that wasn't bad enough, the following day, same girls waited to board a commercial vehicle at the same spot, and they saw these men again, slowing down to negotiate to pick unsuspecting victims. They wanted to shout but the place was a bit quiet and they didn't want the men to kill them, just in case they had a gun.
And knowing Nigerians, they may not have come to their rescue, that's how these men got away with it. The annoying part is that they go to the same spot to pick people everyday, yet they haven't been apprehended.

And they do this mostly on Fridays because they know they can use ur atm card over the weekend uninterrupted until u can reach ur bank on Monday. People should be very careful especially around Victoria island where people look for free rides to the mainland after work.

  79. After going through comments on yesterday's chronicles I was dumbfounded , what wickedness ......a man should send out his child for 3 years and some of you bvs supported what! What happened to accepting this child was your own, what wickedness ! A child that the mother left at a very tender age?what happens to Been a mother to this child ? An innocent child that has done nothing ......a child that has been denied motherly love you want to deny fatherly love too. PATHETIC ...... And most bvs were in support.... NAWAOOOOOO

  81. Aside from the Christmas hair giveaway, I don't consider any of the hair giveaways on this blog genuine. Hair sellers just come up with these gimmiks to attract customers and then they say 'oh I've given it out'. Given to who? Na spirit dey wear the weave? Mtshwww. Not one person could come back to say thanks? Unam ikot. #myopinion if you don't like it that's your business.

  95. Robbers!!!! I dnt like to rmber my encounter with them on lagos/ibadan express.
Was coming back from school that faithful day when they stopped our bus asked us to lie down in the bus later asked us to come out and lie down on the express. Some people who ran into the bush they dint know some of them were hiding in the bush ..lol..dey beat the hell of of those who ran into the bush. They were putting on camo, d guns dey held no be for here..... To cut long story short I was shot on my right leg...hmnn!! After they left we got help from others travelling and they took like 3 of us they shot to uch. I did x-ray and when the Dr read it he said the leg was fine and no fracture plus no bullet in d leg... but I was feeling a strange object in the leg. Went to our fam hsptl and the doc said there is a bullet in the leg. The bullet was share and fat...kept the bullet for a long time.....
Meanwhile the pesos that called my folks in lag dint give details she just said I was shot and they should come to uch emergency unit...my mama Wan mad dat day......
But Tanx to God all na history today and am alive but for a long time I was scared of guns either seeing it in a movie or seeing a policeman with it.

  96. Thank you very much Imoh Sandra for coming out to back up your story. See how the bigots have blamed Yoruba people again for what they know nothing about. Stella I have proved my point, if you like don't post my comment. I won't be surprised because you are very biased.
