The pictures below tell the sad story of some group of people living in Patani Forest. Among the people living in this forest are the elderly, pregnant women, nursing mothers, teenagers and children. These people struggle everyday to survive as they can barely eat.
The children and pregnant women in this forest go to bed at night hungry, sleep on the bare floor (because they cannot afford the luxury of bed), drink contaminated water and are under the constant attacks of mosquitoes and wild animals, including snakes.
We are using this medium to call on good spirited individuals to come to the help of our brothers and sisters who are suffering in this forest. You can help with the following items: clothes, food items, disinfectants, detergents, noodles, soaps and especially Mattresses (foams).
Patani forest is located right here in Nigeria- between Bayelsa and Warri, Delta State.

ReplyDeleteI don't know if it is right to say this but I will say it nonetheless. Why do women still have children in such conditions? Anytime I hear of famine, war, refugees and such abject poverty, you will see a list of pregnant women and nursing mothers. How do we have children when we cannot even feed? If you have 1 and you see how much that one is suffering, why have more, why don't we close our two legs together and pretend to be mermaids? I don't understand humanity, the men that get erections in such conditions and the women that open legs in such conditions. SMH.
ReplyDeleteTo worsen it everything they had was washed away including their farm lands in the 2012 flood that washed almost the whole of south south. Am sure they have not recovered from this,i saw this with my eyes when I was returning from bayelsa after nysc. Patani is owned by Delta state
ReplyDeleteWhoever u are, stop all these lies u tell in the name of asking for help for people. Patani is a local govt in delta state, though surrounded by water, their major source of survival is fishing and farming, where exactly is this place in Patani? Where did u get ur pictures from. Abeg i'll like 2 go with u to this exact place. All these monsters hiding in sheep's clothing.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm... I didn't know that such communities still exist in this country
ReplyDeleteHmnnn! Is this story real?
ReplyDeletePls nobody should help. their "son" Jona was president, what did he do. Until people learn to hold their leaders accountable, things will not change
ReplyDeleteAre these pictures taken from Patani?
ReplyDeleteThere are some people in Taraba state that don't knw what cloth is let alone having good water/houses, etc. When a friend(guy) told me abt it according to him na d young girls breast wey stand na-im him eyes just dey. God will help us all.

ReplyDeleteStella, what do u mean patani forest?? I'm from patani village and I have not heard of patani forest, but I know so many villages in niger delta live like this. I am not going to fault the govt, I'm going to put myself forward and fight for this cause and ask all well meaning nigerians to go back to their villages and do same. That way we can bring smiles to the faces of the less privileged and give them hope for a brighter future. I'm contacting them immediately and contributing the little I have XxxbarbieXxx
ReplyDeleteBut this is not as bad as some other Ijaw villages now! Many Ijaw communities are struggling and very poor. Try visiting the Arogbo Ijaw communities and you will understand that Jonathan did not try for us at all. If these people want to help, do like. Module. Ozolua who went village to village with food and medical supplies.
