ReplyDeleteOn the Amnesty Issue & Tompolo & co...
DeleteI am not against the amnesty programme but so far what has it achieved?
Apart from Asari building school in Benin Rep, Tompolo becoming a security chief for the Federal Republic, Ex-militant leaders becoming millionaires.
What have the Ex-Millitant leaders done for their various communities ?
What measures have they put in place to make youth work towards self development..?
Please for those living in these regions kindly furnish us with useful informations so that we don't just accuse them wrongly
We kept reading that many are sent abroad to study over the years?
How many have graduated?
How many have returned to the country and rendering service back to their communities?
Is this beneficial to the community or is it just a scam?
I remember some years back when some of these guys were deported from some countries where they misbehaved.
Honestly if these billions spent on amnesty was invested into infrastructure and education in the Niger Delta, we would have had some of the best schools and universities in Africa in that region.
Why are we wasting money sending people to study abroad when our educational system at home is nothing to write home about.
Remember not everyone can benefit from travelling abroad to study from the benefits of amnesty but what ever infrastructure that is built and put into place as a result of amnesty will serve generations to come.
Only with peace will useful development comes. These guys should think of what will benefit their communities in long term not just what will end up in their pockets.
*GHANAMAN signing out*
