Former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi recently hosted the outgoing American Consul General (CG), Jeff Hawkins to a dinner in Lagos with a Cowboy theme.
In attendance were Dele Momodu, Pastor Paul Adefarasin,Former Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Dakuku Peterside, Ibikunle Amosun, Kayode Akintemi and oil tycoon, Tonye Cole.

Talk about big hat, no cattle. Why would Amaechi spend scarce resources with this theme just to send off this man? Why do Naijas love fake, inauthentic ways? What about a theme centered on the local culture in Rivers or Naija? Foreigners including dignataries, need to be immersed in the local culture, food, dressing, language, etc and NOT the other way around, especially when serving within Naija borders.
