Isoko North Local Government Council is to commence a special free eye screening, treatment and surgery on Tuesday 28th July, 2015. This was contained in a circular signed by the Secretary to the Local Government Barr. Vote Umukoro.
According to the circular, the exercise billed to hold at the NULGE Hall, Isoko North Local Government Secretariat Ozoro, at 8.00am daily will last for three days, commencing on Tuesday 28th with Iyede, Emevor and Owhe Clan while Ozoro, Ellu, Aradhe, Ovrode, Ofagbe, Okpe-Isoko and Oyede to take their turns on Wednesday 29th July, 2015.
Day 3 of the exercise will be to carry out eye surgery on those earmarked for surgery.
As noted by the Secretary to the Local Government, the exercise is being carried out by the Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor Administration to assist those who have eye deformities and other ancillary eye defects in Isoko North.
The statement enjoined all traditional rulers, President-Generals as well as Ward Chairmen of the respective communities in Isoko North to ensure all affected patients are mobilized for the exercise.
