A Court granted former Imo Gov. Ikedi Ohakim of Imo N270M bail on charges of money laundering yesterday, Thursday.
Ohakim, who left office in 2011, was arraigned in Federal High Court, Abuja on a three-count charge bordering on money laundering filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In his ruling, Justice Adeniyi Ademola accepted his bail application and granted Ohakim bail with the sum of N270million and a surety in like sum.
The judge also ordered Ohakim to deposit his international passport with the court’s registrar.

ReplyDeleteHope this dog called EFCC can really bite. Tired of empty barkings, as it were, given the spades of arrests with nothing to show for it.
ReplyDeleteFairness is prevailing in Nigeria now!
ReplyDeleteAnd when convicted, make him return the 270m naira plus the existing 270m naira bail money. I wonder if he is related to the girl and white guy on YouTube that had such lavish wedding in nigeria recently. If so, your disgraceful show of ill-gotten wealth got you where you're at now. Please pay your bail money or go choose a room with the lamido family in prison.
