The Managing Director and CEO of the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), Mr Uche Nworah has said that the organisation is well positioned to survive the creative disruption sweeping the media industry globally.
He was speaking in Awka on Monday, July 20, 2015 while flagging off the online streaming of 88.5 FM made possible by the ABS Digital Team.
According to him, with the live streaming, Ndi Anambra and other stakeholders living outside Anambra state can listen to the station anytime from anywhere in the world by simply logging onto the website www.absradiotv.com and keep abreast of news and information about the policies and activities of the Willie Obiano administration plus other exciting programmes.
Mr. Nworah said that the live streaming presents a wonderful opportunity and added value for advertisers as their messages can now reach larger audiences globally. He called on businesses and organisations to take advantage of the increasing traffic on the ABS website by advertising on the site.
He praised the ABS Digital Team for successfully achieving the online streaming feat and further charged them to think innovation always as this was the only way the organisation can remain globally competitive.
Responding, Mr. Ugochukwu Afoekelu, Head of ABS Digital Team said that his team will always work to make Anambra state proud and assured of their readiness to meet the demands of digital broadcasting in Nigeria.
