The Accountant General of the Federation Mr. Jonah Otunla was yesterday removed from office.
According to Thisday, Otunla was removed from office because he allegedly misappropriated N2.5 billion of security agencies’ funds.
Mohammed Dikwa, from Borno State, has been appointed as his replacement, but in acting capacity.
Dikwa until his appointment was a Director in Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.
The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) confirmed the removal of Otunla as Accountant and the appointment of Dikwa as Acting Accountant General.
In a statement late Friday, the Office of the AGF said President Muhammadu Buhari approved the change, which takes effect immediately.
The statement said Dikwa would hold the position until a substantive replacement was announced.
Until his appointment as the Acting Accountant-General, Mr. Dikwa was the Director, Funds Department in the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, the statement said.
Mr. Dikwa has Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy and Master in Business Administration and Finance.

Delete@Udy what do you expect? Wait for his O'Yes members to come after you under anonymous. We support people who destroy our country not because we enjoy their stolen wealth with them but because they come from our tribe. Just imagine the change 2.5billion will bring to some families or young people. Imagine sharing 1M to each young Nigeria youth with a good business idea.
DeleteWell i hope he is not only sacked but brought to justice.
Good.

ReplyDeleteWelcome GMB
ReplyDeleteHaven't I been saying it, the Yorubas destroyed our federal investment. They looted the federal ministry dry. Whenever I hear them say Jonathan is corrupt i just wish I could slap them. Thieves.
ReplyDeleteThe information should be verified cos the man had his send off party yterday on his retirement from service
ReplyDeleteI would never believe anything I read on bogs again cheeeei.... Jesu ... He retired now, he's of retiring age and the person that stole money in the office has been arrested (one of his subordinates), he was not sacked people, please he retired. And he helped a lot of people to secure employment during his tenure, it's sad that this kind of news is being said about him. Stella please take down this story it's very very unfair to his person and his history.

Soft landing peeps, retirement age in Nigerian civil service is 65years for men
ReplyDeleteYou are uninformed. It is 60 years of age or 35 years in service. Which ever one comes first. Please get your fact right.
DeleteNot just fire, please prosecute them abeg PMB
ReplyDeleteHmmm Linda get your facts right....seems all the new appointments by this administration have been from a particular region or am I wrong.....
ReplyDeleteHmmn... I know this man and I knew he was retiring on exactly June 12, 2015 because of the strict retirement rules in the Civil Service. Everyone even knew who the likely replacement would be (Dikwa). Stella, abeg, check your facts well oh.
