Chronicle Of HOPE - 18

What are your expectations?

FORMER RUNS GIRL GIVES TESTIMONY OF MARRIAGE MADE IN HEAVEN!

Hi Stella I appreciate the good work you are doing and am glad it is touching lives positively cause that's the most important.

When I read negative stories about marriage I get worried cause I have been married for 7 years and each day seems just like yesterday......

I met my hubby in my office and 6months after we tied the knots, my family was worried but I believed in my heart we were meant to be with no doubt whatsoever cause truthfully I didn't have an ounce of doubt.

My husband is my bestest of friends, not even the kids can take this position. When we started dating we came to an agreement on no lies,no matter how it might affect the other person ,we promised to always be truthful, communication line is always open, friends always wonder why I trust my hubby so much,I really don't know,it came naturally.

When I had our two kids he wasn't around but the third boy he was in the labour room with me,he saw the baby's head come out and this even made him love me more.

Stella my husband worships me,when I pass he always grabs me and I push him away telling him we don old.I weigh 90kg with a big tummy which I am working on seriously. My husband is just a yr older than me so no be say na old papa and one youngie.

Stella my marriage is made in heaven, we have our differences,we quarrel but  never go to bed wit it.A friend witnessed us quarrel once but in 5mins time we were laughing and apologising, we made up..

Stella, sometimes i wonder why God has blessed me with a wonderful guy.I used to do runs oh! immediately I met this guy I changed my ways and I made a covenant with God,I never cheated on him,I kept away from friends and made time for my marriage.

I abandoned my job and became a full time housewife not becos I wanted to but I had to make the sacrifice and my hubby never made me regret this decision cause he's been supportive. Now my kids are grown and I now run my business.

I think one of the reasons marriages fail right now is becos people always go after the physical without the spiritual, everyone wants to be the important figure, no one wants to make the sacrifice, you want everything to be just the way you want.

What are your goals for marriage?what are the doubts you have about your fiancee or fiance? have you discussed it with him or her,or are you going to bring it up after you get married? (big mistake)
Sorry for the epistle but I can go on and on cause God has really blessed me and indeed I am blessed.I am writing a book on marriage which might help the young ones.

Stella marriage sweet oh!no be small and by the way we don't have all the money in the world ,our kids go to a good school,we live in a family house,we have a car,I can't afford to fix human hair of 40k,I keep it low but I am enjoying my life. Love you Stellakorks.

Darling thanks.
I have since come to realise that what works for one might not work for the other.
The key to Marriage happiness is hidden and only those who seek, find it,those who run in with physical longer throat and expectations run back out when their expectations are not met.I am happy for you.

Marriage is not easy at all,I am so pissed with my hubby right now and asking myself why i married him,in 5 minutes i would be blessing GOD for blessing me with someone as understanding and as good as him.LMAO!

Marriage is not easy, let us please encourage each other in anyway that we can.

    2. There was also one day,he was driving me home,he saw this girls(2 girls),said he knew dem n wanted to say hi,then one of the girls was hiding her face cos i knew ha.when i asked him why the other acted that way,he said she wants to do an abortion.....n dis girl can do holy mary

    3. Your boyfriend/friend is deir aiding and abetting murder and you think it is something to be happy about/ brag about simply because you are trying to prove a point that holy holy girls are worse than Runz girls. Keep deceiving yourselves and encouraging mordern day prostitution. What you're looking for up and down, you would soon find it.

Instead of seeing the good in testimony, how God does not discriminate against anyone and would have mercy on whomever he would have mercy on... you're there justifying Runz girls... what a pity!

  19. one thing i know is that marriage is sweet and can remain same when you marry right.

    if you are ready to marry also be ready to do these;

know what you want in your spouse, if its material thing be ready to enjoy it with its consequences bt if its true love and happiness its out there and still not readily available. in all you choose you, you must work more to make it count.

know that you must not win that argument. be ready to forgive and move on.

live according to the family budget.

no third party at all no matter how close they are. quarrel and settle it within yourself

be faithful to your marriage vows. trust and pray for each other.

NB: that divorce can be avoided. it all depends on you.

marriage is so sweet. let yours work and tell us the story cheers.

I'm not really happy wt the poster for including her runs detail in the post. What for? To encourage those that re in it? To me, it was absolutely unnecessary. But I thank God for your marriage anyway. The Lord shows mercy on whom He wants

    1. Because there are so many people that are looking for reasons to do runs..and this might be a reason for them, the poster just got lucky, her getting a good husband didn't have anything to do with her doing runs, and someone has commented above that runs girls make the best wives ( I don't know if that is true or not) but it sends the wrong message. And we have young girls who visit this blog as a source of inspiration.

    Marriage is beautiful.
Let no one discourage the future brides and grooms.. I can't deprive someone of this bliss.lol

Of course there will be issues here and there but how you handle it like poster rightfully stated determines how everything plays out.

    Thank you Lord for everything.

I fervently pray my single bvs here find their purfect rib!

  38. I enjoy reading this particular chronicle of hope, because she kept it real, although, I believe in Karma ... But GOD shows mercy on whom HE chooses to, and none is without sin.

Let me share my own marriage experience, with the believe that it can give one or two persons hope. For many that have been reading my old blog until my new blog, I have never shied from saying my marriage was not a fairy tale one, because I don't believe in fairy tale love stories, and of course it has been used against me few times. But, I stood on my grounds, because I wanted newlyweds to be prepared for what lies ahead, to avoid break-ups.

July 27th-28th, will make it my 14th year of marriage. The first early years were tough, because we were finding a common ground for our inter-tribal and inter-religious marriage, coupled with the usual ups and downs in marriage.

Later, we compromised on the cultural differences, and we both accepted the same faith ... but there was the 3rd party presence, which of course, had it's multiplying effects.

We relocated to USA in 2012, and I tell you people, I am so enjoying my marriage to the fullest! I have never been this happy! Like it is said, happiness is relative! I am always prudent, so money was not a very big issue, we simply managed, but there were other little things that mattered so much to me, and he is doing them!

Yes! The environment helped! It is now just two of us! When we quarrel, we settle asap! He said, there is never a dull moment around us because we can tease each other and have sense of humour, we can find each other's trouble and we are good at making babies!{he threatened me with baby #6, when I insisted, I wanted to work} Infact, few minutes ago, we just finished teasing and quarreling with each other over something we read together ... he is sleeping beside me, while I am typing, right now.

So, marriage is a beautiful institution, not a fairy tale movie, it has it's sweet, sour and bitter moments, simply take it a day at a time. If both male and females enter with the attitude to work hard towards it, love each other, always ready to forgive, pray all the time and most importantly, be patient, we would have hope stories to share and laugh about in future. There is no magic wand or Cinderella god's mother or shortcut to it!
