A high powered Delegation of the Nigerian Water Ski and Wakeboard Federation (NWWF) was received at the National Sports Commission on Tuesday 5th May, 2015.
The NWWF delegation who set out to visit the sports Commission to further strengthen their relationship with the Sports commission were first received at the office of the Honourable Minister of Sports, DR. TAMMY DANAGOGO.
At the Minister’s office, the NWWF presented an award to the honourable minister for his commendable passion and efforts for sports development in Nigeria as well as his support for the introduction and subsequent officiating of the NIGERIAN WATER SKI & WAKEBOARD FEDERATION in Nigeria. The honourable Minister was deeply appreciative and thanked the NWWF for its passion despite the absence of required funding and support, the NWWF works hard to ensure that the water ski and wakeboarding sports facilities are developed across the country and become a role model in sports globally.
After the heartfelt time with Minister, the delegation proceeded to the office of MALAM ALHASSAN YAKMUT, the Acting Director General National Sports commission to congratulate and wish him the very best. Coincidentally, it happened to be MALAM YAKMUT’S 54th birthday, he was so elated with the visit and was full of praise for the NWWF complimenting the Federation’s independent effort at growing. The NWWF’s Officials surprised him with a congratulatory gift depicting the Federation’s goodwill wishes for his New Office.
Relentless and pressing forward against all odds, the NWWF is at the moment preparing to visit Turkey come July 2015 for PRELIMINARY TRAINING ON USE OF FACILITIES AND COURTESY VISIT. The delegation will be made up of A Director of the National Sports Commission in charge of Facility Development, Patrons, Investors and Officials of the NWWF. Soon, facilities will be established around Nigeria and doors opened for membership. In fact, the NWWF will have an Athlete represent Nigeria at the Worlds in Shanghai ending this year. Long live the Nigerian Water Ski and Wakeboard Federation “Discover yourself and shine bright on the water”.
