Ghanaian Actress Yvonne Nelson took off her shoes last night during the red carpet session of the Ghana Music Awards.
This is currently generating controversy on social media as people dissed her and compared her to Nigerian artiste Yemi Alade who danced in heels. Some however accused her of seeking cheap popularity.

ReplyDeleteI understand her pain, if u have worn the Christain Louboutin Sokate you would understand. I wonder how the Kardasians cope. But it is always advised to wear what you are comfortable in, most especially if you are going to do a lot of walking and standing.

Maybe she was not comfortable. after all,a lady came out bare footed to receive an award at the just concluded Africa Magic Award.
ReplyDeleteI'm only interested in her hair. If she likes she can remove her clothes as well.
ReplyDeleteKai anything you do people will never be satisfied! Y'all should let her be, I don't see what the fuss is all about!!
ReplyDeleteBut Yemi can dance in anything sha lol

ReplyDeleteThis Ghana people sef and what's wrong with what she did?...
ReplyDeleteThe last time I went to the club,I danced with my bare foot cos my shoes were paining me..
I even walked to the car with my bare foot...
Abeg they should free her biko..
Bare feet not bare foot since you had a pair of shoes.Unless you hop danced on one foot and hopped to the car on a foot too. Cheers
DeleteExactly. I went for a wedding and at the reception the shoes were killing me. So,i jejely removed my shoes in the hall. After the ceremony,my legs still dey pain me so i just held it in my hands and walked to the car.
DeleteIt caused quite a lil buzz n the videoman got it on vid. I no send o. I even waved and was a good sport about it.
Linda!club?dance with bare feet?hahaha!
DeleteDats a lil bit too much for etiquette,i can just imagine u,dancing like it's cultural carnival! Roflmao.
Well it has to be Linda Eze!i am on my knees begging u,dont do dat again.
@unto removing shoes in public generally, some school of thought claim its ladies without class dat do it.my hubby is usually disgusted at it,so I am guessing most men don't like it too!i used to pull out my shoes in church, but now it's either I bear the pain or bring a simple one' along.
#dpainofbeauty##ipitywomen#notwithstanding,Yvonne wear dose shoes back immediately!
Hahahahahahahahahah Queen bee,
DeleteStop laughing joor...
So I should kill my self cos of fashion, abeg forget that...
Come to Avenue night club in New York and see celebs pull off their shoes...
Hehehehehe.
DeleteDa Queen,yeah baibe.
People that pull shoes in public in obodo naija are classless, right?.
But abroad they do it and it turns to a fad.
In LFW,a model walked halfway down the ramp, kicked off her shoes and continues walking. See ovation na
Now dat was a model dat was probably on a runway in a beach wear, bikini,or basically an attire that requires u to rock with no shoes!
DeleteTwo,d fact the other pple pulling off their shoes are abroad and celebs doesn't mean they have class!and if it were a fad',trust the whole world especially nigerians to be going abt barefeet!
Three:i said One school of thought not QueenBee school of tot.free me ooo!
Nyway Irene stop arguing and put on ur shoes before nail go enter ur leg,ok!#runs away #
She took off her shoes. So?? They are her shoes. Abeg free her.
ReplyDeleteLMAO @heels be by force?... Ghana pigin sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteVery funny Ghanaian pidgin ,reminds me of my Ghanaian friend,if he wants to say na me and am,he would say "na me plus am" lol
DeleteThere's nothing wrong there. I have no issues with removing my shoes at a public event when my feet are really killing me. I have promised myself I won't buy any more heels
ReplyDeleteToo much pain Abeg
She took off her shoes and so? Hollywood stars do it too. K Stew did it, even that Sheryl girl. Abeg there's nothing wrong in doing it. Makes her real sef. Amd there's nothing abnormal about dancing in heels, if anything it makes some moves much easier so y'all should know that before y start to think Yemi Alade did something special because she danced on heels
ReplyDeleteLooks like she pulled it to snap picture with that lady. If not, d bending would have not bin here oo
ReplyDeleteHer heels might be too tight, like seriously
ReplyDeleteCan These so-called "Fans" let these People BREATHE??
ReplyDeleteFor Goodness sake,They are Humans too and Yes,their Feet and Toes get sore too!

ReplyDeleteShe look anorexic,Yvonne can rock heels as long as she wants, she is truly attention seeker
ReplyDelete*looks; an attention seeker.
DeleteI don't see anything wrong with dis babe taking off her shoes...people, just tend 2 blow things way out of porportion!
ReplyDelete*proportion; People tend 2... and not people, just... . Cheers
DeleteIf she is feeling uncomfortable then there is nothing wrong with taking of her shoes she will not be the first celeb to do that. Better that fall over or walking funny.
ReplyDeleteClick on my name to get % 100 unprocessed virgin human hair that looks and feels great. Thanks
Ermm @true talk ur attention is needed here, hurry
DeleteSo, what wrong with her taking her heels off??It looks like the other lady was saying something to her and then they took a selfie. What if the lady who happened to be the red carpet hostess was telling her she wants them to take a selfie but Yvonne is too tall, then she decided to take them off so the shorter lady can take a good shot!
ReplyDeletePeople are so judgemental, it irks the sh*t out of me!!!
It's her shoes, her life, her business. So people should respect that. She owes nobody an explanation for removing her shoes. I think she looks beautiful barefoot.
ReplyDeleteIs there a red carpet law that states that shoes should be kept on?
Is this news? *yawns*
ReplyDeleteSee@ iam amazimgs nose....she's there tabbing someone...nothing wrong in taking off her shoes,,,,better than walking like a drunk.....people comparing her to Yemi sould meet Tiwa savage....always offing* shoe at the slightest opportunity .girls should do what they are comfortable with not what people expect of them all the time.......Stella u must enjoy me
ReplyDeletePeople should learn to mind their shitty business!!!! Faceless pokenosers! And who said that Yvonne is bleaching must be a dunce.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the big deal in that? I know she can walk in the heels.
ReplyDeletePeople can talk sha
She took off her shoes so? Is it their money? Smhhhhh
ReplyDeleteWorld people.
Tacky as hell. No need to stress how "real" she is, we already know. But there's a time and place for everything. She should've waited till she sat down.
ReplyDeletethere is something wrong with what she did cause she new where she was going to
ReplyDeleteAnd they don't remove shoes there
What msg is she passing! that Ghanians can't walk on heels or what
It's an embarrassment
Stella, did you see the comments that were removed on that Dakore BN article?
ReplyDeleteI beg who be the former bank MD wife that is bisexual and arranges boys for herself?
Guess she didn't want to be suffering and smiling
ReplyDeleteYvonne we know it's your first Louboutin shoes...yoy just had to show us huh? clap for yourself!
ReplyDeleteAllow her, she's only human, we all take off our heels at some point but Yvonne why wear those high heels knowing u will be on ur feet for long, you should have just put on something not too high plus those pointees can pain.
ReplyDelete
