Woman Dies After Eating Egusi Soup Prepared For Darling Hubby

A housewife in Atumaga community in Delta State died after eating from the egusi soup she had poisoned for her cheating husband.

According to Leadership Newspaper, the woman identified as Egwoli (surname withheld), was frustrated that her husband was cheating on her with other women, neglecting her for over two years they've been married. She also complained that her husband has not been making love to her since they got married two years ago.

But sources said the housewife, a petty trader, instead of seeking the family’s intervention, allegedly sought the help of native doctor who
prepared the love charm for her with strict instructions to add the substance to her husband's food to gain back his affection.

But unfortunately after preparing the egusi (melon) soup, her errant husband was nowhere to be found.

Not knowing the charm had deadly effects, she ate from the soup and went to bed and was found dead the following morning.

The husband who had earlier complained that he stopped making love to his wife because of the offensive body odour that oozes out of her body, narrated the circumstances that led to her tragic end,

"My wife had threatened to make me impotent when I stopped making love to her for obvious reasons and I found some fetish items in her room, including the egusi soup she ate before her death," he said, not wanting his name in print.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Celestina Kalu, has confirmed the incidence and said that the police was investigating the circumstances that led to the woman’s death.

    9. Anon 12:57, GBAM! The husband is probably ready to replace her with one of his chewing gum girls outside, he didn't want to look bad for kicking her out after such a short marriage and wants to look justified in his actions once he brings in the new girl, so he kills her and makes up all these stories. They said she was found dead the next morning after eating her own poison, then who narrated her part of the story for her? The police better take him in for questioning and confessions........Just Saying

  23. This life ehn! Since the woman was found how did the husband get to know the story of the supposedly poisoned soup? How did he know about the love charm that has deadly consequences for the charmer? How do you get away with blaming a dead woman who cannot resurrect to tell her own side of the story? For once I'm pissed that police did not do their usual way of arresting the closest person, in this case, the husband. IMHO, he's the 1st suspect because he could easily have poisoned his wife so that he can go on with his philandering ways. Anyway, God dey! The truth can only be hidden for some time...One day the truth will be known.

  38. Na wa ooo...am gobsmacked.
Women are the architect of their misfortunes @ times...Personal hygiene is very vital for a wife who wants good, undiluted sexual exploration with DH..I hate body odour and I coach any young gal I see who looks unkempt 2me...Some babes look flashy on the outside(Brazillian hair, expensive bags and phones) but when u move closer to them, amidst the cologne,u will perceive a strong stench..Am sorry to derail dis post buh I wanted to say this.
Wash your pants, shave ur armpit/pubic hair, use good deodorants, wash ur vagina" properly with warm water ONLY except the sides of the labia that needs lil soap.Smell nice for that man.

He meets a lot of ladies outside, some are desperate, flashy, classy, clean both inside and outside...If he's gonna pay attention to them or not ain't the issue. But the fact dat he comes home to a hair net wearing, wrapper tying woman. Smelling of ogiri and onions plus a foul odour down there? Mbanu!!! (I understand that being a wife, cook, mum etc ain't easy)..

I feel sad abt dis development...Like seriously, do people still visit native doctors?..What happened to seeking an older person's advice if u feel neglected by ur hubby..Wat happened to talking with him and finding out if there are some tins u aint doing right?..Perhaps,this wouldn't have happened...it's well
