Tinubu Featured In Financial Times

Financial Times, an international daily newspaper  featured Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on it's cover where ‘Jagaban’ was described as Nigeria’s Svengali in Buhari win.

In the April 5, 2015 publication of the international daily newspaper with over 2.2 Million readership worldwide,  Tinubu's influence in the presidential election as a godfather was deeply analysed.

According to the newspaper, Tinubu is deeply Machiavellian and a master strategist who has cannily built a political empire among ethnic Yorubas in Lagos and the south west and built a reputation for himself just like that of late Obafemi Awolowo.

  5. Tinubu was a major factor in the CHANGE that has come to Nigerians. Buhari however needs to curtail his excesses at the Federal level given that he could sometimes be overbearing.

When will godfatherism end in Nigerian politics?

    2. I would have said "never" but I never say never, anything can happen. For now I'll just say not soon or at least in the nearest future. Politics and godfatherism go hand in hand, they can hardly be separated. I think politics is a game and the oldest players have better experience even though the younger ones may be better players. It has to do with levels/ranks,some people are just your seniors and because they started it before you, thay just have more relevance. Its kinda difficult to explain but you just have to know that there are elders in the game who should be respected. Just like other fields where you have mentors, there are also mentors in politics who are more knowlegeable, experienced and powerful and you may most likely not do well without them. The only problem is that most mentors in politics are selfish and that's why godfatherism in politics appears to be a bad thing. I hope I made sense sha.

  18. Hypocrisy, tribalism etc is why we will not move forward as a nation...this man who has stolen govt money to enrich himself and enthrone himself as a godfather you people are saying he is a hero...how? ,how has the money he stole enriched the masses? How is tinubu different from the corrupt politicians you are all expecting APC to fight? We will keep marking time as a nation till we realise no one is above the law....if Nigeria needs a change from a bad government and corrupt people sponsor buhari to rule what different does it make......we will all still be alive to see how this govt performs....
