DeleteBoth Amaechi and Wike used every possible means to win this election. Amaechi had some INEC officials in some LGA 's on his payroll and Wike had some on his own payroll. Amaechi had his own sponsored thugs as well as Wike. It was a battle for supremacy between the two men but Wike won because he has more loyalists at the grassroots than elitist Amaechi. Everything Amaechi accused Wike of doing he equally did and thought that because he was the sitting governor as well as in the opposition to GEJ people would believe him more. It was simply a case of two political heavy weights trying to outdo each other but just like PDP that erroneously believed that the power of incumbency was a sure banker for them, Amaechi also believed in his invincibility to his own greatest shock. Ask anybody in Rivers State today and they would tell you that Dakuku was just an unfortunate fellow who ran under the wrong circumstances.
ReplyDeleteLook at how desperate Amaechi was to win at all cost. He left his own ward and was driving around Wike ' s LGA chasing imaginary enemies and making a mockery of himself. Even Tinubu who is the leader of the party as well as Fashola carried themselves with dignity in their own state by getting accredited like everyone else, making sensible remarks, casting their votes like others and going home to await the results because they had done their homework and their field men were on ground. This our governor just chose to be an unrepentant nuisance all about town, instigating fights and protests and driving all over town crying foul wherever he felt he had been outdone.
Amaechi, the truth is; you have lost. Concede defeat like GEJ did and go home and luck your wounds. Like you said in his case, it is the work of God.
Calling Wole Soyinka, your father in law to come and complain for you about Rivers State on National TV instead of concerning himself about his own state or Lagos is the height of Childishness, simply because his daughter is your concubine and a Rivers State Govt house staff. Pack to Abuja and go and receive your reward from your masters for a job well done.
Even if the elections are repeated a million times in Rivers State, Wike will still win because the truth about Amaechi is out there on the streets and at the grassroots and the same people will vote against his candidate. Amaechi rigged as much as he could but others outsmarted him.

ReplyDeleteI'm very happy amaechi lost this election, because of Apc presidential elections he didn't pay rivers state civil service for months . Abandoned his state and was the major funder of the Buhari campaign using rivers state funds (unpaid salaries) and our private jet to fund the campaign.

ReplyDeleteI'm so happy wike won, amaechi could not deliver rivers to APC during the federal elections and he still failed during the state election. Everyone that decamped with him lost woefully. Amaechi is a failure, I wish buhari will just return the money he donated to the campaign and send him away from abuja cos he doesn't deserve any post. They dangled the post of a VP before him and he betrayed his brother, after creating a big ruckus and insulting Gej they told him he won't get d post and promised him something else.
