    3. All this tribalism will take u no where. I'm happy Nigerians have risen about tribal sentiments, Oturubebe abi what's that man's name, tried to incite tribal war when he blasted Jega for the world to see. Still, Nigerians kept their cool. And when it didn't work he apologised like a toddler that pooed in his pants.

Buhari will become president in weeks and we will not entertain mental derailment from cabals. I know his critics have their pen and paper ready to talk him down in the first week of his assumption of office, but we will not shudder not be deterred.

Let us all support this man. Starting from our respective jurisdiction, we can effect the change in full blast. What I pray is for a smooth transition, and for the right people to be nominated to work in Aso rock with him.

One of the failures of Jonathan was that he appointed hoodlums and they've succeeded in bringing him down. Buhari shouldn't make the same mistake. No money to be looted, people will now learn to work for real.

Lastly, I'll propose that general Buhari along with the legislatures, deliberate on the salary and allowance given these politicians. The monies they used to get should be halved, let them work harder. When there's no money to steal they'll stop making politics a do or die affair. Then we'll start to see those who truly want to serve our nation because they are passionate and agents of change, and not for financial benefits.
It would be a good start. Pray tell.

  20. Congrats to him
I'm still asking people what's honorable in what GEJ did? He did what he was suppose to do. When you loose and election, you bow out gracefully and follow proper way if you feel cheated.
People kept saying he is the president so he could have rigged the election and I ask, is it the right thing to do? Isn't this the same corrupt system we are trying to uphold?
Why are you all asking why he didn't rig been that he's the power that be now..

I think Nigerians only voted him out to prove a point. To say we actually have a voice. And we can choose who we want. And to also prove second tenure isn't heredictory

If Buhari used that gap and passed him, that means people don't like Gej anymore. People in the east didn't vote and the igbo are busy calling Yoruba's betrayers. So many pvs collected in the east but less than half of them came out to vote

    Before you attack, I'm igbo

    8. Anon it's right you argue your point but keep the insult out. It shows how immature you are..

Second anon, Remember in 2011 those 19 states in the north voted for him against Buhari who also was in the opposite party. If you watched this current elections, then you would notice that from histry, Gej always wins some states and gets major vote
Also following history, all the easdelta and south south states gave him at least 1m from every state the last time bit this time only rivers and delta gave him that. What happened to other people? There was high rate at collecting pvc but they didn't come out to vote. Why? So you see I know what I'm saying

Bitchplis, even I was shocked. I know alot of Gej supporters who didn't even go out to vote and had collected pvcs in Lagos and this same people have been shouting and asking how manage he lost.. You can Imagine that

Eka joy, all your comments comes across as someone who is always sad and doesn't have hope. You always look for reason to fight or insult someone but I tell you today, no condition is permanent. Believe God for a turn around. Hugs and yes I'm igbo. And I'm not sentimental, Tribalistic or a religious bigot.

      Linda. Okay

    9. Skin care I love ur pragmatic analysis. It shows u are practical and reasonable without sentiments. Ignore the rabble rousers.

You know the same thing happened in Rivers, and it would have cost APC their victory if not for the northerners that made up the gap. Amechi and his loyalists got angry and refused to vote when he requested the result sheet and he wasn't given. So they all went back home, while the PDP supporters voted en mass, as they had the floor. That was why Jonathan cleared rivers.

As for the other south south states and the rest of them, if u remember clearly that late last year, Asari got angry and he said that Jonathan had done nothing of significant value for his towns men, and that he believes that Buhari, although of the almajiri extract, can do better for them more than their own son Jonathan. But he later issued a rejoinder in support of Jonathan again. But the harm had been done. It was rather too late.

Let me tell u dear, the south south people didn't support Jonathan during this election. Even some PDP state governors were merely eye serving him for money, they had a hidden agenda. They knew Jonathan would lose, some of them orchestrated his loss. Mind u, most of them are serving their last term in office so they have nothing to lose.

Take Ondo for instance, Mimiko defected to PDP and he's serving his last term in office, he didn't feel the pressing need to impress Jonathan. Only Fayose did. Even Fayose can only serve four years now, according to constitution he cannot run 8 years in Ekiti. But because he was indebted to Jonathan, he delivered ekiti.

Others messed Jonathan up. Including his town crier Fani Kayode, who was given a whooping 120 million for campaign but only spent 25 million and pocketed the rest. So how could he have won?

The Yorubas really tried for Jonathan and have remained loyal to him even more than his own people. So I dont understand why people are cussing the Yorubas and calling them traitors. Tribalistic goats.

    10. A man called a TV station which runs a live show at 9:00am mon- fri, the guy is from the north and but works in Qatar. During the last registration exercise he traveled down to Nigeria with his wife to register, waited to collect their PVCs and stayed back to vote for Buhari. How many of our Igbo brothers came back to do such even the ones in my village refused to vote. It shows that the north are more politically inclined than the south. Me thinks that the election in 2011 in the south east and south south was massively rigged.

    11. There we go, u see. If only all the aggression was channeled to good use, this wouldn't have happened.

Lovelace, truth is in 2011 a lot of people voted for Jonathan because of sentiments. And it is only natural that when he failed them, they voted him out. We didn't hear all this tribal remarks then o, but now it has become an issue.

There's this guy that runs a chemist around me, and a day before the election I was having a chat with him. He's Ibo btw. So I asked who he'll vote for, and he quickly said sister, na Jonathan o. I asked why, then he said, ah, na Jonathan I want because as a trader, I enjoy my business without wahala. So I said does he think he can't enjoy the same privilege, or even better if Buhari wins? He said abeg, I no wan risk wetin I never see, the one wey I see now na hin I wan make dem continue. He added that Jonathan is closest to his tribe than Buhari, and he can relate with him more.

That's the mentality of some people. While I respect his views, he wasn't open to change. He would rather be complacent than take the risk of having a change in governance. There are a lot of this my friend all over Nigeria. They foretell tribal disaster without first scrutinizing the possibilities. And like u said lovelace, many of them didn't come out to vote, yet their whining is always loudest. This our people ehn

  21. Stella pls enough already about Buhari, leave his posts, he didn't win based on genuine votes, Jonathan got few votes still from the north and one from the west, Buhari got none from SS and SE,it was the number of votes from the north that made Buhari to win, he is not accepted well in Nigeria that is a fact,Jonathan,s votes were spread around, the only president that made a call that saved us from the fear of violence in Nigeria, see hailing to him even as he lost if Buhari had lost he would have gone to the court and a lot of killings he will never tell them openly to stop,as far as am concerned Jonathan is way better that Buhari, I give people in Nigeria one year to think again and know that Jonathan meant well for us in Nigeria, the stories I heard from our fathers and mothers about Buhari are not good. Good day Stella

He said that Buhari is a muslim that made sure that his domestic staff who are christians get sundays off simple bcos the bible says that the sabath day shld be kept holy but he didn't give his muslim domestic staff same priviledge bcos that was not stated in their Koran.during his days in PTF, ova N600m was given to him and he returned it and said it was not in their budget. It was Buhari that discovered Dora Akunyili for her uprightness. Most times, we judge people based on what we hear about them and not what we know about them.
