The highly anticipated World Bank/IMF Spring Meetings were conducted in Washington, DC from April 14th to 17th 2015. All participants were carefully screened and only reputable civil societies (NGOs) from all over the World were authorized to attend.
Princess Modupe Ozolua, who is a Social Entrepreneur and renowned Philanthropist, was amongst those approved to attend the Spring Meetings.
During the meetings, CSOs discussed how to work together to impact the underprivileged in society and benefits from opportunities within the World Bank.
During panel discussions, Ozolua drew attention to the plight of internally displaced women and children and how her organization has rehabilitated some camps in Gombe and Adamawa States.
On April 18th, Princess Ozolua and other civil society members given VIP passes by the World Bank, were invited to attend the legendary Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day concert at the Washington Monument in DC.
The event was attended by over 275,000 people, key global payers such as the World Bank president, MD of IMF, SG of the UN and other international celebrities.

ReplyDeleteIs that Jim iyke@the second pic?
No. That is Fali-Ipupa the musician from DRC, he performed as well as Usher, Mary J. Blige, etc. The pictures are all over the internet.
DeleteAnon 12.51 thanks for the info. Mentioning those other artists doesn't boost anything. They are just performing in Nigeria to make some extra cash to pay uncle Sam. Thank me last year.

ReplyDelete@Jasmine, i think thats like the reception dress. Look at the third picture, thats the event proper. She's trying this days, from rehabilitating displaced boko haram refugees to being invited for such a big program as this. Thanks a lot, God bless your hustle Modupe.
ReplyDeleteShe didnt start helping poor people yesterday. She was the only one in 2003 that started doing free surgeries for poor people with deformities.
DeleteHow many people can confidently say they have been using their funds along with those given by donors to help the poor the way modupe has been doing since 2003? What is that? 12 years! She deserves all the blessings she gets!
