Okey Bakassi's Message After Nigeria's Elections Makes Sense!

When i saw what Comedian Okey Bakassi circulated this morning,the most important part that struck me was the destroyed friendships because of elections.....

Please read on..The 2015 election is an eye opener for every nigerian,both at home and in the Diaspora!

''Good morning family and friends. I woke up feeling better than yesterday, because;

1. The Elections are over, our normal "hustle" can continue.

2. We are still in a Nigeria that is not "divided" as predicted by doom prophets.

3. The pockets of violence experienced didn't consume me or anyone close to me.

4. We have shown Politicians that power belongs to the people.

However, let's not be deceived; the elections were not perfect, we know the truth, but we have improved and must continue to improve.

Our voting public have shown the political awareness than can bring genuine change but our politicians have not changed.
The name of the leading political party has changed but the composition has not changed. The party in power now is made up of; the good, the bad and the ugly from various political parties including the PDP and more will soon join them. They will not take us for granted again.

This means we all must remain vigilant. Those who supported the parties that won, must channel the energy that was used to criticize and attack the previous government into helping the present, deliver on their promises. While those who are now in opposition must come up with constructive criticism that will help move #Nigeria forward.

Let's not pretend, we must begin to repair friendships/relationships that were damaged during the elections. The government has a huge responsibility of healing the ethnic/tribal division that became more obvious during the elections.

Fellow Nigerians! Let's unite to build a better country. Our trust is in God..........na de same people still dey power.

It's a fresh start.

  24. The debt owed by politicians from this elections will most likely throw up a lot of interesting breaking news for Nigerians very soon.Nigerians should not expect any miracle as stated by the president-elect.The campaigns were too expensive and sophiscated in terms of the use of technology.An attempt by the govt at the centre to settle their debts through juicy appointments or contracts to their supposed sponsors will automatically puncture their fight against corruption promises.I position is that this so called change expected by Nigerians is certainly not going to come from these crop of people around Buhari.remember the world has graduate from digital to high definition and even super sonic operations in some environment.how can Buhari cope with this ever change ways devices by these people to embazzle our commonwealth. My advise is simple,PDP should set up a powerful monitoring group to perpetually put the new govt under check.The social media leitunant s should always give the needed media hype on any wrong move by govt official who is involve in any sharp practices to serve a stigma till election season.Period

  25. Spot on! I have come to detest some BVs with a passion during the elections. They showed their true colors! I pity people that live with them! They are dictators! Lack diplomacy! Very bitter souls! Tufiakwa!

  26. True talk. Everything he said made sense. Especially the ethnic difference that almost reared its ugly head. It wasn't supposed to be at all. Relationships scattered because of politics. This governorship election did not leave me elated like the presidential cos of this. We must all learn to 'tolerate' one another irrespective of tribe.
