  27. It's funny how these things work.
I'm sure 80% of the receivers will vote their givers.
I remember one night while driving to Ikoyi from Lekki around that Bourdillon road, there was a trailer entering that house where Tinubu's policemen stays (the house beside Tinubu's). I was like woah! Even Tinubu and co? Really? Night crawlers. I had to wait for about 5 minutes (as the trailer dey reverse and reverse and road don block) before the trailer got into the compound.
The next day the crowd I saw there...the rest is history.

  46. What's he big deal? We have seen this distribution of staple food to the voters from BOTH PDP and APC. It's like when you get party favors. Or do you expect them to share biro/pens which would not be really useful to the people? They are sharing products that make sense that people need. APC is only making all these noise because maybe PDP has more purchasing power and is sharing more than them and reaching more people. This is a game for BOTH parties. It is a way to reach some of the grassroot votes per adventure some of those will eventually translate to votes for them.
Don't you see as these women were given posters too. Some might chuck these posters along the way, and as you say, some will take their rice and yam, clean mouth and either not vote or still vote for the opposition. But, a certain number to will go ahead and vote for whatever party gave them the package. The poster on the bags of rise and additional posters also serve as expanded advertisement points for the party to disseminate deeper. Per adventure there will be those that walk into these peoples' homes and, you never know, are persuaded to vote for them too.

You all see stomach infrastructure, I see more, I see grassroot outreach, mock it all you can, but the party that can do more of it, just might benefit a little.
Now, this is different from say like Obama's grassroot outreach. The Nigerian environment is different. You have to give the people what they need and "communicate" appropriately to achieve your goal. So I say, they should keep sharing more rice Jare, at least, some families will have relieve during this period abi?

  48. And for those condemning this, sebi Fashola and co were also throwing / distributing recharge cards and money to the masses eh? APC also distributed rice too. I think the staple foods makes more sense than the recharge cards as will meet the needs of more people viz-a-viz feed families. Let he who can reach the most triumph, it's not about crying foul each time your opponent seems to be beating you at the games you both are playing using the same tricks. Chikena!
