Why You Should Never Swear At Strangers ......

A commuter who launched a foul-mouthed tirade at a fellow passenger he bumped into on a crowded train faced him again just hours later – at a job interview.

The man told his future interviewer to “go f*** yourself” as they both got off a train at Monument station during rush hour on Monday morning.

Later that day, they were reunited but in a much more formal setting, with HR executive Matt Buckland interviewing the angry commuter he had met on the District line that morning.

"At Monument station, I stood to one side to let someone else off the train first and I think he thought I was just standing in his way,” Mr Buckland, head of recruitment for investment firm Forward Partners, told BuzzFeed.

"He pushed and I turned, I explained I was getting off too but he pushed past and then looked back and suggested I might like to f*** myself."

During the interview, Mr Buckland said that the job seeker did not recognise him, but a few questions about how his jouney to work had been that morning jolted his memory.

“I asked him how he got to the interview, how was his morning commute," he said. "We were on the train in the morning but the interview was at 5.30pm that evening.”

Mr Buckland explained that the man, who had applied for a web development role at his company, was not offered the job, adding that this was nothing to do with the incident that morning.
“It would be easy to hold something like this over someone in an interview, but for me interviews aren’t about that," he said.

"When you interview you are looking for a read of skills but also to know if that person is a real human being, it’s about that connection.
"By the end of the interview we laughed it off and were both happy.”culled

Flimsy reason he wasnt offered the job,Maybe the Morning episode was the reason. This is a lesson though!

So he should offer him the job even when he's not qualified Stella? Please some people don't hold such trivial things to heart. But then there is a lesson to be learnt. All those who come here acting like kids, throwing insults at people you don't know not knowing if they are going to be a source of help to you.

You come here and rant about how life is hard for you and still insult people you haven't met or seen. You don't even know who they are in real life. When help doesn't come to you you then wonder why.

What will be will not be if u don't make it be. Food for thought: God didn't create anybody to be a failure but many people fail Bcos they are lazy! Although they were destined to do great, they didn't work, struggle for it. Life is a fight!

    2. Funny thing is you'll never know who is deserving of favours on blogs. As some people perpetrate their uncouth shenanigans under the anonymous mode. How would u know if u were to help such? It's on social medias like fbk or twitter, where people are likely to use their real names and pics, is where u can pin point the rude and arrogant. Bottom line, anonymous or not, we should try to restrain ourselves. Everyone is guilty of it.

She was lucky though as the interviewer gave her a second chance.

  27. Abeggie! The morning event was the underlying reason he didn't get the role. Almost the same thing happened at my work place last year. I took a call from a lady who was due for an 11am interview with us. Not realising who she was speaking to, she first off, asked for directions which I gave her. Maybe, she was frustrated about something that day but my good Lord, I have never spoken to anyone as rude as her before. She was catty, bitchy and even told me "with all due respect, I don't think it's your place to ask what role I'm being interviewed for'. She probably thought I was the receptionist. Long story short, when she went off the phone, I discussed it with the recruitment manager, made a note of her name and after the group discussions, was the one to one interview where I introduced myself and told her I spoke to her earlier. Needless to say, she was stuttering throughout the interview very nervous and ended up with no employment letter!!.....

  30. I have a story to share, tho after typing the 1st one I lost it,I was working in one of this transport coy,as their manager bam I was served with a sack letter, why? Because I'm too playful with drivers and staff which will stop me from doing my work,I was devastated as I had no other job waiting, went home and stayed for 3mths, one day a call enters my phone, he said I heard they sacked you cos of your playful nature,I never even knew the man cos I met so many passengers, he said I will help, on mon go to exxon mobil, meet so so person then submit your cv,I laughed cos someone I never knew want to give me a oil coy job just like that? Lols, i was encouraged by my fam to give it a try, went there met the person submitted my cv then 3weeks later I'm a staff in mobil, my smile fetched me that job, it a dream I never dreamt of, a stranger love my smiles even when he never talk to me, he love the way I treated all equal,be good where ever you are, a man that has even refused a thank you wine talkless of asking for sex, be nice where ever you are.

  35. Reminds me of an incident that happened yesterday..so I took a bike yesterday evening into my street.on our way,the bike man accidentally pressed the heels of his slipers to my feet twice while riding.when it happened the third time I said to him "oga you dey march me take am easy"
Rather than apologise,he said to me"how I take march you?"
Then he went on to say I should mind the way I talk to him, that he is way older than me,so I asked him if that gave him the License to step on me @ will...I decided to keep quiet about it,cos I wouldn't want to be in a heated argument with an okada rider.
So on our way,he had to pass one estate as a short route..unfortunately the gate at the other end was closed,so I had to get down from the bike so he could push his bike through the small gate to the other side..
I helped him push the bike through, and the bike man thanked me...dropping me off at home,he said to me "you be good person oo,upon say wetin I do to you,you still help me push my bike.no be everybody go do am,thank you" I said to him"no wahala" he then zoomed off,I smiled..
I get this huge satisfaction from exhibiting a lil kindness...
