The Monarchs of Kosofe and Epe divisions of Lagos East Senatorial District at the weekend endorsed Senator Gbenga Ashafa the lawmaker representing Lagos East Senatorial District in his bid for ‎a second term in office.

The two events which took place at the palace of the Oloworo of Oworoshoki, HRM Oba Bashiru Saliu  at Oworoshoki and the Alara of Ilara, HRM Oba Hakeem Adesanya‎ at Eredo, Epe, witnessed the presence of all the Obas and Baales in the two divisions.

Ashafa enjoined the monarchs to canvass their people to vote for the All Progressives Congress at all levels ‎in the forthcoming elections. He said "What we should all watch out for on the ballot paper is the broom symbol. Also, the Alara of Ilara, Oba Hakeem Adesanya praised the lawmaker for not forsaking his people in his first term in office and promised to back the him in his second term ambition.

"We the council of Obas at Epe division are ready to give our support ‎to the Most Distinguished Senator in the forthcoming general elections.

Ashafa thanked the royal fathers for the opportunity to present himself once again before them just as he did in 2011 and promised never to let them down in his quest to continue delivering more dividends of democracy ‎in Lagos East senatorial district.
