The Presidency has given 12 reasons why Nigerians must re-elect President Goodluck Jonathan for another term of four years during the March 28 presidential election.
This was contained in a piece, titled, “Twelve reasons to support Jonathan,” published in the current edition of the in-house magazine of the State House, Abuja, called Villascope.
It listed some of the reasons to include the present administration strides in road construction, railway rehabilitation, remodelling of airports, transformed agriculture sector and increased access to education.
Others are increased access to housing, improved power supply, improved water supply, better health facilities, reformed security infrastructures, economic transformation and increased Nigerians’ participation in downstream oil sector.
The Presidency said Jonathan met 4,500km of motorable roads but constructed/rehabilitated 25,000km of roads.
This, it said, had drastically reduced travel time nationwide.
It added that about five million Nigerians now travel by train after the present administration rehabilitated the nation’s railway.
On education, it said, “Jonathan built 125 Almajiri schools, 14 universities and special schools for girls in 27 states.
“He gave 101 scholarships to first-class graduates to pursue postgraduate courses in the best 25 universities in the world.
“He sponsored 7,000 lecturers of federal and state universities and polytechnics for postgraduate studies to improve quality teaching.”
The Presidency further said that 61,000 housing units had been built in the six geo-political zones of the country. - punch
we know all of these nau. GEJ we've got ya back.. I hope Reno is not behind this. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteWait o, these so called achievements, that's our right. You don't get married and begin to brag that you have sex when you want it, that's because that is what is expected. So we have a president, he does some things that he should do. THAT'S WHAT HE SHOULD DO!!!!!!!! Its when he does something super that it becomes an achievement. What's all these? That's his duty, that's what he should do. Abeg let's hear word jare.

ReplyDeleteI strongly disagree with the 3rd paragraph. Nothing on that list is true. I don't count anything thing in this article as an achievement. It's his duty to do those things with OUR money ! It's not a gift ! We should have constant power, good health care etc ... It's our right ! I'm sure if it was illegal to go to a foreign school or hospital, all our schools and hospitals will be up to standard. These politicians are taking us for granted .
DeleteWe no want you again oga jona
ReplyDeleteI cant remember d last Time I saw good &steady light in my area.I cant ever think of seeing eletric bulb on 4 two hrs at ago.. pls allow anoda pesin try..GEJ.We need change!!!
DeleteWhere you dey live?Phcn has improved. Atleast we have 10 hrs Light a day.
DeleteThe impact of these so called "achievements " are not felt in the grass roots. I have completely lost faith in his administration, not willing to give him a 2nd chance......more like a 3rd chance self.
ReplyDeleteDear name sake, that's what these people don't understand. All the reforms and bla bla bla they keep shouting about are not being felt by the masses. He should go back to OTUEKE! Vox populi, vox dei.
DeleteThe impact of these so called "achievements " are not felt in the grass roots. I have completely lost faith in his administration, not willing to give him a 2nd chance......more like a 3rd chance self.
ReplyDeleteThis people again. Listing their success. If you did a great job, why worry yourself? Afterall pdp had billions of naira spent on their campaign. They shouldn't worry themselves abeg. We will vote for who we want.
ReplyDeleteLet those people vote for him na. Make person hear word.
ReplyDeleteGEJ till 2019,be wise!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFool like Gej...if he has done well he doesn't need to say all dis shit he's rubbing on our face. Fuck off
DeleteYou dey outside Naija dey shout GEJ till 2019. No make me send you slaps oh. Why you leave Naija go yonder?
DeleteGOD pls let this man win oo #teamjonathan#
ReplyDeleteI will never forgive jonathan for the anti gay bill. He trampled on the basic human right of the citizenry...all in a bid to score cheap political points. Any gay guy or bisexual, lesbian or bicurious girl has absolutely no business voting him.
ReplyDeleteSo your own issue is lesbianism and homosexuality when people are dying of hunger. Mschew.
DeleteBuhahaha! Pained homosexual. Una never see anythg, na Buhari own go worse pass. Una better relocate 2 Chad or Benin Republic!
DeleteWho be dis one?. GEJ didn't say you shouldn't do,
DeleteJust DONT GET CAUGHT
HahHahahahahahahahah...
DeleteLmao...
So this is your own problem....
Smh...
And u feel if it were to be buhari on seat u all will even still have mouth to talk? My guy/babe na death sentence una for don get tey tey...awon were
Delete#Gbam you have said it all. Its only a Bastard that will vote him
DeleteSo that's the biggest problem you have with Jonathan ? Smh ! Do you think Buhari, an exmilitary man would have given your kind just 14 years ? You and your kind would have gotten death by firing squad ! Nonsense ! People are suffering and dying of hunger, your problem is that you can't get fucked in the ass again ! You better relocate my friend !
DeleteIf u're a doctor practicing in Nigeria, then do the needful and vote out this incompetent weakling called jonathan. I've never seen a president treat medical practitioners with so much disdain. We were on strike for months, and he chose to ignore us completely rather than address our grievances. Instead he decided to punish all resident doctors. Buhari for president.
ReplyDeleteLet them keep demanding for what their grandfathers can't provide for them na, let them continue. Was it all doctors that were on strike or just in some particular states. Let them go disturb their governors abeg
DeleteDear Eka Joy,to tink dat u r my namesake and at d sometime spewing dis rubbish from dat hole u call a mouth.i honestly don't blame u for wat u just typed.May God deliver u. I finally confirmed 2day dat ur sense is not with u,it left u long time ago,do ur safe d favour and Go look for it so u sound more sensible and reasonable next time. Arrant Rubbish!!!
Delete@ anonymous , That's your own opinion. When doctors in Lasuth were on strike a few years ago, didn't Fashola fire them and employ new doctors before NMA put their foot down ? Does that mean Fashola isn't a good governor ? The president cannot handle every single problem. That's why you have the state and grassroot government. Tomato is expensive in the market , it's GEJ's fault ..... Doctors are on strike it's still GEJ's fault ! Mtcheew ! As if you weren't on strike during Obasanjo's administration.
DeleteWhen this administration speaks of this GHOST achievements,it makes me wonder if its this same Nigeria I live in.All this Abrakadabra achievement that has in no way touch citizens life tired me.Jonathan we are so so tired of your administration,I know you have gotten the msg that's why you forced jega to postpone election.Be it 10years its still same, just leave and give another a chance.
ReplyDeleteSpeak for yourself...cos I know people who are also the masses u jst mentioned that have benefited wella from all these he mentioned most especially women and children. Naija people wants house to house shear of the money. Nothing can please nigerians. Vote who ever u want to vote for and dont go about spilling what u are not sure of. The rail stations are work 247 in lagos. Go to oshodi u will see it. Pls what did obj achieved during his time?
Deleteand you are ...this anonymous 10:38 should just step down. Han han. Everyone has the right to talk and complain. You seriously call that a rail station? The poor standard of education that's not even world class or is it the way doctors were being treated thereby making them go on strike. Which power supply is he talking about? Am sorry but this administration? SHAM!!!
DeleteAnonymous 10.38 you such a big fool, obj gave you the phone and the Internet you are using to comment on this blog, thats why I pity Nigerian you guys have short memories Gej has failed simple.
DeleteJonathan is simply the worst president Nigeria has ever had. Its undisputable. No matter how hard they try to sugar coat it. The only reason some idiots are still considering voting for him is becos he's a christian and not hausa. Pretty dumb reasons if u ask me.
ReplyDeleteYour mother, father siblings and unborn generation are all IDIOT! Go get some home teaining bitch ass. Vote whoever u wanna vote for and dont go about abusing people cos they made a choice. Is GEJ your father? No, how about buhari? No hes not.. whether either of them wins or looses, it will make no difference and you will still be where u are.
Delete@anon 10.46.. why are u pained?? U sound bitter. Gej is your father either?? Idiot correcting someone is even worse and manner less. Fool there will be changes if buhari enters and stop sounding Daft like Gej. Nincompopp and zoo animal.
DeleteLOL.
ReplyDeleteK.
Balderdash.
ReplyDeleteGMB for 2015. Nothing can change that.
There are three kinds of lies: lies, damn lies and statistics.
ReplyDeleteWhat about our depleted foreign reserves? Or the steady depreciation of the naira?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteNot in support of any of them
Buhari :NO Jonathan :NO
Its high Nigerians make these leaders realise that a second term is not garanteed for underperformers. They're beginning to view second term as their birthright. If we vote out goodluck, then we're sending a strong message to future presidents that they have just one term to impress. If they succeed, then they'll be rewarded with a 2nd term. That's how it should be. Not rewarding dismal and woeful performances with another chance.
ReplyDeleteYou are a wise person
DeleteAnony,Gbamest comment on dis post!u nailed it big time, culdnt have been better said.my people wat Anony 08;28 said is so right,if we all can reason dis way and do d needful, den deres hope for a better nigeria, not giving weaklings and clueless lots 2nd chances wen dey have absolutely done nothing to warrant their 2nd coming into office and same goes for governors, senators, commisioners and rest. Wen dey knw Deir 2nd tenure is not guaranteed dey will definitely sit tight and do Deir best in d ist term. Dear Nigerians,THINK!!!!
DeleteDon't i just love this comment? However, some religious bigots and "tribalistic psycophants" will not try to understand or see the wisdom behind this simple but yet weighty message.
DeleteGEJ all the Way. So space ooo for Aso villa
ReplyDeleteYes like you said space for Villa. Unless you have more than one PVC, there is space in villa
DeleteSo space? Engligbo no wonder they abuse your written grammar Village woman.
DeleteIn ur fucking dreams.....u will help him pack his loads back to Otueke..just watch and see. Ode
DeleteChinyelu calm your stupid fucking worn out slippers breast....whore ranting like a mushin tacky razz girl that's what you are. Your fucking Dog prostitute mother is d biggest bode for hooking birth to a shank like her!! Bastards cum sucking Hoe, fuck you are your retard family going to HELL. Ogun will wipe u and your generations Oloshi prostitute...suck sick dick n choke on it BASTARD!!
DeleteHe has tried! But we want peace, security, we don't wanna die of bomblast or gunshot, GEJ till 2019
ReplyDeleteI can say that 80% of what is listed is true because I don't agree that power supply has improved. However, welldone in Agriculture and education especially the PRESSID scholarship which started a couple of years ago for first class graduates, I read an article on that early last year where they mentioned that Covenant University First Class graduates were the best performers in the exam for 2 consecutive years. My disappointment with your administration though was the fact that you waited this long to get the African Union to send troops to assist our military in fighting Boko Haram.. the result we are seeing now would have been seen earlier with thousands of lives spared.
ReplyDeleteCov University is in the Private sector...Private education at all levels is what is sustaining Nigeria against all odds. So no he did nothing in the ed sector but appoint some horrible ed ministers when we have competent brains everywhere
DeleteThey are acting out their script.
DeleteAnon 9.19, read and digest before you talk. I said Covenant University were the best performers among their peers in two consecutive years which included other Universities including public Universities. For more info Google PRESSID and read more about the scholarship scheme.
DeleteSupported!!!!....
ReplyDeleteGEJ for continuity....
So, dat 12 reasons are good enough 2 vote him? That's a NO, a state Governor can even do better than what he has done. I wish there is a better person than GEJ and GMB
ReplyDeleteGEJ we know, GEJ we trust, GEJ till 2050....oya make some people craze go enter rail way make train kill dem....hahahha
DeleteYou dont have to tell us, we should be able to see it. Judging from the blogs alone...we have too many unemployed youth and too many unemployable graduates. The additional 14 universities is like a bandaid to cover a smelly wound and that wound has not healed, now it has gotten so deep and rotten, the limb is falling off. 25000km roads in this country...do they know what 25k km is?? Our problems are corruption, employment, power, not even a stable economy...just a working one. But we like to shout about largest economy in Africa, but refuse to continue on to the part of that same estimation that says...with a high rate of unemployment and corruption that has jeopardized the benefits of such growth to reach the people. Or the stats that say NBS stats are not trustworthy. No be economist or cnn talk that one, na World Bank. Unless they will also say WB is on APCs payroll just like CNN and The Economist and BBC. Stella, You live in a sane country, noone needs to remind you what they have done to be reelected. Their work speaks for, itself and the people will be shouting it themselves. We like YouWin, Sure P was not implemented sensibly and for sustainability, but we failed to truly hire people that could get us in the right direction. The Public Sector is a sham and the Private Sector is our lifeline in this country. private unis, private hospitals, private everything.
ReplyDelete@anonymous 8.59, Thank you for your sensible comment. Some gullible will still come out and abuse you for speaking the honest truth. They come online to support government meanwhile same set of people don't have job, can't even afford daily meal. Everything God will provide. No, God can only provide when you work not seat and wait.
DeleteDon't go and pass ur interviews, be blaming him for ur joblessness, abi those people that pass ahead of u should have also waited for Jonathan?
DeleteJaymoore and Anon. Shut up
DeleteWhen and where did all this things happened?
ReplyDeleteAll happened in Aso Villa because outside the Villa...nothing
DeleteWhat is the cost of PMS?
ReplyDeleteLoool let him keep fooling himself..clueless goat
DeleteNeed i say more?
ReplyDeleteHis works speak for him.
I wish we could get a better substitute for jonathan instead of buhari, both jonathan and buhari are causing coarse in the already heated polity.
ReplyDeleteChaos
DeleteThanks oluyomi.
DeleteNigerians pls join the conversation on how to grow this Nation. This man will be rigged in and nothing will change. We must develop this country inspite of these people
ReplyDelete"Others are increased access to housing, improved power supply, improved water supply, better health facilities, reformed security infrastructures, economic
ReplyDeletetransformation and increased Nigerians’ participation in downstream oil sector."
Lies of the Century.
I totally support Jonathan for a second term... previous administration didn't even do half of these. It is fact that the youths became interested in politics when Jonathan became President, before now anything goes, elections were not credible and we were simply not interested in the government. Jonathan gave us a voice and the people began to take interest and notice all the rot that has been in the Nigerian system of Government but unfortunately he has taken the fall for the failures of previous administrations. If people pay attention to Buhari, they will notice he is a dunce, the democratic system of government is different from the military 35years ago. Buhari being President will be Tinubu ruling us indirectly.. Tinubu gets N3b monthly from the coffers of Lagos State treasury, his next goal is Aso Rock but God will not allow him.
ReplyDeleteNoted but it would have been better if more emphasis was laid on security though.
ReplyDeleteTeamGEJ2015-2019 .
Anon 18.59. Even in USA most of d companies n hospitals there, Infact 90 something percent of Americans companies n firms re all privates. Ppl don't depend so much on d govt dia for survival. De re creative dts how de help d govt. De don't seat in a place, lazy about n accuse d govt for dia failure. So Nigerians should be creative positively n stop blaming Gej for our failures bc we re d cause of our failure. Gej is just one man, n a tree can never make a forest. Its a collective process. Let d wise hear.
ReplyDeleteThat's because they practice true federalism. In Nigeria the federal government takes the bulk of the revenue. Nigerians are not asking for too much, just the basic infrastructures to better our lives. The country you mentioned above don't have power, water, road and health issues.
DeleteWhen government provide the necessary infrastructures, the people would not depend on them so much.
Other countries that have improved the lives of their citizens, it was just one man that was elected.
Ana emenu...

Deletewith his money? Or what rubbish are they talking about
ReplyDeleteThese people are trying so hard to convince us that this man did nothing abeg. What sef they should stop listing and listing as if them no get job. Don't we have eyes to see,do you have to tell us what we already know? Stop forcing yourself down our throat. Leave us to vote for anybody we want too. It's our choice,if you like vote competent and incompetent into power we will all suffer the proceeds of their actions. Simple!
ReplyDeleteImproved power supply? Where? How? When? Mschewwwww. Anyway, my simple prayer has always been may God rule our lives the way Jonathan has ruled this country. This prayer is for those who feel Jonathan has done well.
