Shortly after paying the Nigerian first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan a visit on the 13th of February, about 20 women from Bayelsa State were reportedly burnt to death in a multiple vehicle accident.
The women had paid a solidarity visit to the first lady in Okirika where they spent two days.
The accident occurred at Ahoada, in Rivers State and involved a Toyota Sienna car, an SUV and a bus with the inscription, Peoples Democratic Party Women Initiative.

ReplyDeleteAnd that was how my aunties died. Roasted to death like suya. God! Where are you? Are their sins too grievous for them to go this way? Who would feed their families knowing that they were hardworking and breadwinners? We can only cry. Cry is what we've been doing since the day before yesterday. 3 family members in a day just die like that. This life is really nothing.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry honey, God knows beat. *e-hugs*

ReplyDeletePeople will die where they die.
DeleteThat wasn't on Ahoada road, she died on East West road.
DeleteSo sorry for the families, I pray God fill the vaccum in their hrts, Amen.
ReplyDeleteWhy do people die on their way home after visiting the first lady? Last year it was lagos pdp women leader. On her way home from visiting the first lady.
ReplyDeleteThere is more to this than meets the eye. How come the sienna that hit the bus didn't burn while the bus gir burnt. It's not as if the bus was carrying fuel or any flammable substance. It's quite a pity that they had to die in this tragic way. May God rest their souls. No politician is worth dying for. Dame left Abuja and came to Okrika to ensure that APC does not hold their governorship rally in Okrika. Could this be one of the consequences of her action? I pity the families of the dead.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really bad news. May they rest in peace. BIBI

ReplyDeleteAll in the name of politics? Na wa! we pray for the repose of their souls. Hope attention will shift to basic amenities now rather waste of tax payers fund and the tug of war and desperation between PDP and APC

Chai, I know that death is the end of all mortals, but the timing and the manner is what makes this so sad and unfortunate. Now Nigerians will do what we are perfect for; over-speculatate, over - spiritualise and add trailer loads of salt to the open wound by making stupid snide and hateful remarks. Please just sympathise with the bereaved, pray for the souls of the lost and leave it at that because only GOD ALMIGHTY knows best.

ReplyDeleteMama Peace should keep her crocodile tears jo after all she flew in by PJ & these poor women who just lost their lives saw her off to the airport then met their death on their way home in a cramped bus probably not even road worthy then add our miserable roads into the mix and they didn't have a chance ,on the same road Mama Peace foster mother died no be so? So she didn't think she should use her influence to have the road repaired then so why come out & start crying now? Plus if she & her hubby had not forced inec to ppostpone the elections these poor ladies would have been home with their families what a pity, may the rip amen
ReplyDeleteYou see how useless Nigerians be, instead of us to dey shout make Government fix these roads and make our roads more safeworthy, we are hear all shouting God, God. God no go ever come down from heaven come fight our fight, if we like make we shout am from today to tomorrow till thy kingdom come, if we don't sort our issues ourselves. God Wont. May their souls rest in peace, maybe this one go jolt jonathan wife to nudge im husband to fix our roads. Who knows it might be her tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteIt's well
ReplyDeleteMay their souls rest in peace. Amen.
ReplyDeleteShut up your mouth there idiot!! They didn't escort her to the Airport! She went to her village in Okrika and these women politicians went thee to pay her a solidarity visit and spent two days, and were on their way back to Bayelsa when the accident happened. If they had sat in their houses non of this would have happened. When you choose a career in Nig politics, anything can happen. Have you seen the speed that govt drivers and politcians fire on the road with their convoys? Pls leave Patience to mourn her loss by shutting Your dirty smelling m

ReplyDeleteMay God console their loved ones, and may their souls rest in peace Accident can happen to anyone. People have accidents on their way from or to work, school, church, etc. People died from accident after redeemed Church camping last year, did Adeboye use them for rituals? Backward people.
ReplyDeleteMay God save us and our families.
May their souls rest in peace and these women should stop going to see patience goodluck who loves to abuse fellow women. They need to stop kissing her ass.
