Oscar Pistorius' Prison Terms 'Softened'

Incacerated South African paralympian,Oscar Pristorius has gotten his terms of imprisonment softened after authorities at Mampuru prisons saw that he posed no security threat.

A family member said "His new status means he will be able to have more visits
– there are a lot of family members who would like to go and see him, but in the past have stayed away, so that it is mostly Carl,Aimee, his aunt and grandmother who take the allocated slots."

Oscar was convicted last year following the brutal murder of his Girlfriend Steenkamp.

    1. Hmmm, so he actually killed her? When the story was going round, I thought it was a lie. Anyway, he's serving his punishment.

  2. and because he is white. He gets to enjoy some advantage. A black man would never have such priviledges. Shades of Black should dominate the White. That was how it was meant to be.

    1. Exactly! If it were a black man, he wuldnt have gotten that long trial sef.
And how can he be a security threat? Or are there helpless women in his prison? A cripple like him have power to kill only women and behind closed doors even. Let him shake body in that his prison and other inmates will break his remaining limbs/hands!!! Rubbish

  17. I'm sensing preferential treatment here, maybe its because he's a celebrity and white. Good for him.

  18. Hmmmm d guy himself is already a shadow of himself. He may not av killed d gal intentionally bc he felt real bad. He was traumatized, killers don't av conscience but dis man have. So am not surprised.

    ReplyDelete
  19. If it was a black person he killed, I'm sure he wouldn't have been convicted at all. White vs white, he just had to be served.

    ReplyDelete
  20. If it's a black dude life in prison for sure

    ReplyDelete
  21. Why do people feel it's because of his race?
So, they're no black prisoners whose terms were softened or who were given parole?

Just because he's popular, white and in a post apartheid country doesn't raise that presumption alone. This inferiority complex of blacks must stop.

I feel pistorious is a victim of publicly televised trials. The justice system just had a win-win situation. You televise a trial to show how advanced, competent your justice system and you still mett him some punishment to assuage the hearts of the dead girl's relatives and the supporters on social media. Thereby putting him out atleast for a short while(and it could get even shorter) and still he won't complain? Afterall, he pulled the trigger and should morally suffer for it?

Well, in reality. When you look at d facts of d case, no reputable judge in d world can conclude on murder based on the evidence. So, all the trial was classic playing to gallery and the imprisonment an after thought.(whether he did it in sound mind or not, I can't say). Law is an evidence-based thing.

And Stella, according to their findings. She wasn't 'murdered', just 'killed'. Not all deaths by the hands of another person is murder. Pre-meditation and malice are pointers for murder.
